Any time I leave a vm about Israel/Palestine (e.g. "I urge you to oppose Trump's Gaza plan"), I end up getting an email from her office saying, e.g., "I support Israel's right to defend itself." I feel like I'm playing Mad Libs with her.
yeah, I've been disappointed on that front. Tammy always used to answer - staffers I mean - at least. I left a message for Ron Johnson, but I know that's just like spitting in the wind.
i contacted Fetterman and asked him to vote no on this NOT clean CR unless DOGE is gone, Ukraine is funded, and there is a return to regular order in Congress with rule by law and not executive order.
I am sure Fetterman is rationalizing a YES vote right now as a way to "build bridges" to GOP
Fwiw I also actually got to speak to a staffer in the office of my Congresswoman Kristen McDonald Rivet, though I'm pretty sure she's already gonna be a No vote. Doesn't hurt to have as unified an opposition as humanly possible, though
The staffer I spoke to (Boston) said the same but seemed (to ME) to be erring on the side of approving it to "support federal workers". I'm curious if he thinks Charlie Brown will finally get to kick the football as well?
Markey's office just said that he has not released a statement but that he "wants to support federal workers and keep important services like social security and Medicare available". Sounds to me like he may be a yes. I was clear in my disappointment with that idea.
DC and PDX offices of @wyden.senate.gov and @jeff-merkley.bsky.social just go to voice mail, but I'll keep trying. Based on past performance (and what I expect is overwhelming calls from constituents) they'll do the right--and patriotic--thing.
yeah but he was elected 4+ months ago, and he presumably already had a congressional office he could have started with. seems like plenty of time to get like a couple of people in an office with a phone
if your contact page doesn't list a phone number, you don't want to hear from your people
Ruben Gallego, Lisa Blunt Rochester, and Angela Alsobrooks all list local offices and they were seated a month after him (and none of them are as well resourced)
Slotkin lists 5 active local offices and 2 to come, (although tbf she only has a phone number for the washington office)
Spoke to a staffer and Van Hollen seems open to pushing back on this but can tell more constituent calls to his offices would help firm up his opposition. They haven’t really coordinated a clear position statement yet.
More specifically, a NO on the cloture vote for the Continuing Resolution, which is why we're pressuring the Senate...because the cloture vote needs 60, meaning Dems can stop it with a unified No.
If you're leaving messages that's at least something. Also use their web forms, among other things it helps them be sure you're actually a constituent.
I called @andykimnj.bsky.social ‘s Jersey City office and left a message with a staff member that I don’t want him voting for this. Let the Republicans pass it by themselves and own it. Could not reach a live person at @corybooker.com ‘s office, left similar voicemail.

I called DC. I left a message. Do not vote for any budget or CR unless…..
I said yes shut the government if you must.
I have doubts they have backbone

Bypassed the voicemail option to speak to an actual person.
Both were receptive and pleasant.
They didn’t actually give me any feedback on what the senators are thinking, but they heard me out.
@joshtpm.bsky.social more intel for you…
couldn't find a local number but his DC number is (202) 224-3841
Padilla is much better on this, he has several listed offices and phone numbers
