good to watch. but there's one part in here that most will probably overlook. stability, the constitution and the rule of law are magnets for capital. an elemental observation that's at the root of basically every study of economics and capitalism.

A top economics reporter goes off script on national TV: “I am going to say this at risk of my job, but what President Trump is doing is insane.”

My new comment when anyone asks about Trump’s strategy.
The credit agencies are going to downgrade our credit.
Authoritarianism doesn’t work
Not that democracies can't be corrupt - they can, but they trend to towards cleaning up. Dictatorships are the opposite.
"And the other thing that's not talked about Kelly, is what's going on within the administration in terms of how they're treating the Constitution and laws.
"I think all of that is bad for the
attraction of capital."
This is something the free-market fundamentalists and ketamine-abusing oligarchs are about to learn (though they'll never admit it).
Insanity needs to be institutionalized
What's different you ask?
What's different is that the adults were never going to be in the room in a 2nd Term and so here we are with social media influencers in charge who have no idea what they're doing
The recently fired Pardon Attorney explaining:
- what her job was (working on pardons for normal people)
- what legitimate thing she was asked to do
- how she completed that legitimate task
- how the Administration tried to toss Mel Gibson in at the last minute
She refused to include Mel Gibson as the 10th person to be given a pardon in this pilot program
because he did not qualify being that he is not someone who lacks means or influence and that his conviction was for a violent crime.
She refused
She was fired
She spoke out
and the DOJ is now claiming that she's the one who is lying...
Can’t she sue them for defamation?
We're talking about Trump voters and their expectations
The ones who expected Term 1 all over again were never going to get it, because Trump is a couch for whoever sits on him
Term 1 featured advisors who knew business
Term 2 features sycophants feeding ego
Obviously he was running to stay out of prison.
To Trump voters, that all was either “fake” or was less important than a “1st Term again” fantasy, which in and of itself was selective amnesia.
Off to the camps with him
Accelerationism has never worked out for, you know, anybody.
He’s a chaos agent and always has been. Everything he, DOGE, and Project 2025 have been doing is designed to collapse our government and economy.
And it's not a given, and it can be taken away.

The People -> Streets.
Also, totally agree with that guy. Trump is no longer bound by rules and advisors who care about the US. Its all yesmen who are out to get rich quick before the fall.
But DO fight these lawless idiots and Resist at every opportunity.
Nothing is more stable and attractive to capital than a dictatorship. That's why regime mouthpieces are out there with one message: This is temporary and has been accounted for.
