My cousin-in-law is supposed to undergo a 3-day assessment @ NIH this week for a recently-diagnosed rare syndrome, which by coincidence, my brother was recently diagnosed with.
It would've contributed to identifying potential new drug therapies.

Thus far, our work has focused on a part of cuts to the extramural side (grants given by NIH). There are also cuts to the intramural side (cuts to people/programs within NIH) and similar to FDA/CDC. Damage is extensive.
