Crows seem to be trending, especially the theory that they hold a grudge for 17 years. Bloody amateurs, I still haven't forgiven the midwife for holding me upside down and slapping my arse 73 years ago.
Not silly but: discovery the MAGA trolls cannot do without us. Their very oxygen seems to come from spewing vitriol and trolling libs, and they are melting down over the Xodus. Frankly worried that if they cannot
discharge their apoplexy on Twitter they will do it in roads and shops and classrooms.
Sorry - not silly - but it’s been a joy to see the Immunology-infectious disease research community re-find a home and each other, having used Twitter for real-time data exchange through the pandemic. Reuniting here with old friends after the other place went toxic

Typing ‘Blu…’ into my laptop address bar and getting Bluey the jolly dog come up. The ‘Twitter has fallen’ re-bloobs every time someone like We Rate Dogs, Pet Shop Boys or Dionne Warwick turn up.
I’ve been on here months, gently tending to it like an allotment to approximately 30 people, and then this last week was BANG and I’ve suddenly got 1400+ followers.
Never in the history of social media have so many people tried so hard to be so nice. It feels like a warm tsunami of decency and niceness wrapping around you whenever you open it. And really interesting discussion and news.
Yes. In the real world I live in a small town by the sea, which has proven to be good for my well-being. Bluesky is currently feeling a bit like the social media equivalent of living in a small town by the sea. I like it. Fondest regards, Duglas

THe fact that they blocked a post because the people who were being condemned are considered a "protected group" according to their rules. Check out the rules. Isr++li soccer thugs are a "protected group"
Not spotted the viral just yet but it’s just been so lovely to find lost virtual friends.. I’m assuming this is what it must have felt like to have been lost at sea on a ship for years and years and to then take shaky steps on land spying familiar faces.. don’t even know whom to greet first!
We all want to Bluesky to declare itself a country, we all claim citizenship, and then we sever our attachment to the rest of the world and live happily ever after.
