not only can you eat them (in certain ways), they're very resilient. flowers are pretty tough in general, but i swear, you can find dandelions growing in the damnedest places.
we found one growing in my sister's windowsill once. it was magical 🧚♀️

Delicious & earthy, though separating the yellow ‘petals’ from the green cup is damned tedious.
Also - wise to collect the blossoms in rural areas where nobody can see you. They make straitjackets for people picking boxes of yellow blossoms!
