Yep.. and that's why I went and got my Covid and flu shots a month ago, because I wanted to live life but stay safe and keep others around me safe also. In this area of Canada, we are allowed to get those shots once a year so I'm there like a dirty shirt as soon as they're available to me.

The Covid vaccinations and boosters don't stop you catching Covid or spreading it to other people.

If you are trying to keep other people safe from Covid, you will need to do more than just the current generation of vaccines.

I have the Covid tests that I take after an outing like a hockey game to ensure I'm not a carrier. I've done that since the beginning as I have vulnerable family members to take care of. I also mask up when I'm with them or in a medical space like Dr office or hospital.

That’s still better than 98% of people. The whole thing is simplified with just wearing a well fitted mask when in public. Haven’t been sick in over 5 years now.

Esp wearing respirator while in indoor spaces & most especially in buildings that people who are immune compd/elderly/vulnerable for any other reason (like perhaps having had multiple infections or little access to information about the risk of the disease-children too) have no choice but to be in.

my only hope is that in responding to bird flu, people who previously 'meh'ed about covid & how it was spread, will wake up & grasp it can be spread by air, be more impatient with public health & govs & lack of action, & some airborne mitigations will proceed & help improve that everywhere.

I have had my flu shots every year the last 30 years. So far I have had 6 Covid shots, the most recent one yesterday. Happy to say I haven't contracted neither of them so far.
