My parents' lost their precious cat Purrcilla Bean earlier this year so they they wanted to have some kind of purr pun name to carry on her legacy when they got a new cat friend. But Purrcy's name at the shelter was "Foxglove" and they liked that too so they settled on Sir Purrcy Foxglove.

I wanted to name him Poppy when we adopted Kaleo but we were his 4th (!) home and I didn’t want to disrupt him anymore, so we stuck with Kaleo and just use Poppy Bug as one of his gazillion nicknames. He was Big Papa before he was Kaleo so that’s a nickname, too!
