unremarkable knobs like Jake Paul beating up geriatric minorities in their million dollar swim trunks radiates such angry late stage roman empire vomitorium vibes

And don’t forget, Tyson is a violent convicted rapist who has shown no remorse and has bragged he’s done four or five worse things. 😳Perfect trumper material.
his refusal to fight real boxers his own age (and nobody thinking that's weird or gross) really captures rhe American obsession with absolute artifice really nicely
that it's two trump supporters giving each other concussions for money and adoration is just *chef's kiss*
🙋♀️ Excuse me, I think it's weird and gross! I was just telling my friend last night that Tyson is more than twice that kid's age and WTF 😵 I didn't watch, though, because yuck.
In all fairness, he did fight one real boxer, and lost. So it's not a surprise that an attention-starved media asshole took the message "I should stop doing that" but it would be very satisfying to watch him try to go for a heavyweight or crusierweight title and just get demolished.
I threw up in my mouth when Jake commented that "truth is winning" in reference to America. This guy thinks Matt Gaetz leading law enforcement is truth winning in America. The "make America healthy again" hats by his trainers were also..... something. These people live in a different universe.
Not to be that person but the idea that the romans had a room for vomiting so they could eat more was a myth made up by the medieval church to make them seem more decadent. Vomitorium just meant like, exit hall. It was where people were ejected forth from a building.
My husband said the SAME thing about the UFC title fight last night. All this gesturing and bowing to the overlord at the edge of the ring while the masses cheer on.
That "geriatric minority" made 20 million dollars 🤣
Idk why so many people trying to male this fight out to be about race. It's what Jake Paul does and it's about fighting someone who once regarded as a champ, not because he was black. Divisive forces want you to think different.
Professional boxing is very foolish anyway a bunch of men with limited protection injuring each other, sometimes for insane amounts of money that could be better used for housing education and food security.
Ahhh, so that's what that feeling was I experienced last night as my family tuned in to that crap. I went to bed with wine and a book instead. Was not into it at all.
And also, he raped someone? There’s a lot of online hate for Jake Paul (and he is a deeply annoying idiot moron of the worst kind) but Mike Tyson literally went to jail for rape
I remain conflicted. I’ve grown up watching him my whole life. He has not only rapped but physically abused women. (Can you imagine being punched by Tyson in the 90s?) But since Hangover came out all I’ve seen is a self reflective man who admits his mistakes. I respect him trying to do better.
As a childhood superfan of Hulk Hogan (lol), I can understand this position to a point. He was responsible for a lot of my formative memories, and quality time with my dad was spent watching his matches. But he’s not a good dude, and I think it’s possible to separate the memories from the person.
I’m not a super fan or even a fan. I’m just always surprised when he speaks. His interview with the 10 year old girl was so unexpected. He said, “I don’t believe in the word legacy, I just think that’s another word for ego.” I hope young men took something from that statement.
Also, he still 100% categorically denies having raped Desiree Washington, so if he’s admitting to *some* of his mistakes, he’s absolutely not copping to all of them.
The best thing we can do with Jake Paul is literally turn our backs to any nonsense, self-aggrandising bullshit that he gets involved in. He’ll disappear soon enough, as long as we don’t give him the oxygen of publicity
Yeah, I mean, I don't LIKE either of them, but of the two I dislike the rapist more. And I am properly sickened by the ongoing effort to culturally rehabilitate him.
Vomitorium, as in "the exit from the amphitheatre"? Why would that be a vibe? Maybe you think that "vomitorium" was connected to vomiting and debauchery? Tsk, tsk.
Jake Paul is awful, but so is Tyson. I was a kid when pictures of his wife, Robin Givens, were made public after he beat her up. The memory of her bruised face haunts me, years later. He is no one to cape for either.
i think the paul bros just make the case to these other boxers "hey just dance around with me, let me win, and we both walk with a big bag." then they get to say they're tough to the public. just living in their own little fantasies.
Had no interest whatsoever.
But, though it would be Americans going full-on Caligula, one match would get my attention: Jake Paul takes on geriatric tag-team of Rand Paul & Ron Paul in yet another apauling spectacle of jackass influencerism vs. jackass libertarianism in a battle of empty titans.
As uncomfortable as it was to watch, I’m glad to see Tyson get a big payday at his age. I don’t like Jake Paul in general, but you can’t deny that he has set up a number of old fighters with huge paydays they could no longer have gotten anywhere else, so I appreciate him for that.
I saw a piece of video of him walking in with the hooker...
My thought was oh look, a sentient toilet brush doing product placement of some sort of body spray.
I am still hoping to find out that the reason so many were unable to stream was because ATT throttled it.
I do love how a man can beat his wife, rape someone, and then make $20 million dollars for 16 minutes of work because hey, he used to be good at punching. It’s a fucked up world.
Why are you ignoring it was acash great for both of them. They both acted like cringe a holes. They both made millions of dollars. You're really letting two guys who wanted to make a lot of money real quick get the best of you and you only talk about the white one. Idk maybe you have some bias.

That's why the backlash is so hard.
We want these people dead, as a culture.
As a fact.
and if you told me last night’s fight was pre-planned, I would not argue.
Not just the Roman Circus aspect of it.
But bringing in people past their prime because they know their names.
Like the Saudis asking for dead wrestlers to appear.

The vibe you have when you enter or exit a venue? 🤨

So, karma.
In other words: he didn't speak about Trump or the election directly. He said something like "America is back on track." 🤮

Send him up against Donny Yen next XD
I have to say, Mike may have lost on points but he had the best post match quotes (see the Guardian article).

I had no desire to to watch it & if Tyson had broken dudes face seen the pictures of it.
I heard some media trying to downplay the streaming issues & promote netflix as the new live event platform... much delusion
I love her fish sticks
