Among other reasons, censorship is bad because a lot of these terms are used multiple ways. “Confirmation bias” is the most common logical fallacy, for example - I’d like the folks at NSA to be particularly attuned to it.

2. A memo distributed by NSA leadership to its staff says that on February 10, all NSA websites and internal network pages that contain banned words will be deleted.
This is the list of 27 banned words distributed to NSA staff:

in the bad place they censor nothing but everything is a cognito hazard.
Good that the NSA has no interest at all about codebreaking.
Stupid politix > mission readiness.
Their friends are foreign leaders…who were our mortal enemies until MAGA took over.
Ironic

America is regressing so quickly it can see it's own ass.
Also, preaching to the choir, but if anyone’s interested, I wrote an opinion piece on this very topic a while back:

This is ocd sick.
Like taking away rights and making everyone think it's okay and deserved.
🤣
Thesaurus and find another word to tell the truth. Example: Donald Trump
= Jagoff !
Who are these people that think words only work one way? Clearly NOT smart enough to work at the NSA.
Am I right?
Super good "government efficiency".
White
Heterosexual
Male
“Sorry, that word is not allowed.”
“What?”
“That word is banned by the federal government.”
“Diverse?”
“Take him out back.”
Viewed that way, the list reveals its own purpose.
If they get their wish, very soon none of us will be able to discuss these topics.
Yet they get pissy for people just wanting to be respected and understood by calling themselves what feels right to them. (anyone can respond to me, if I described or understood it wrong)
It’s not like this has been happening in secret is it. It’s been allowed to grow and tolerated for ever in the USA.
You could also talk about "statistical bias" or "biological diversity", neither of which has anything to do with DEI, but would still get flagged.
It's not the words that are bad but how we use them.
He who shall not be named is about being silenced into fear and solitude.
Maniable compliance or face the wrath of tyrants.
The need to control and wield power over others, bullies demonize their victims.
Speak up for yourself.
Bias is important understand in data models & statistics.
Privilege refers to permissions, and privilege escalation is a common attack type.
Stereotypes are used in software design.
Inclusions can refer to data or class design.
I love the R word, and I also love the mentally disabled. It's great to describe the dulling of flames, or the slowing of music, or wit.
My father was a fag, but he wasn't gay.
The word Night starts with Nig- because Nig- means black.
Anything is hateful
In the United States of America.
USA's experiment has ever had ambivalence between what their nation purports to support versus reality, like: slavery contrasted with freedom for all, or democracy with women and indigenous peoples not voting.
Just one more do as I say, not as I do
I'm mystified about its presence on the list, unless the list author realizes that "thinking clearly" is a threat to their agenda.
LIKE SOME TWISTED MAGA MADLIB
Seem familiar?
