I had two grant proposals up for review in the NIH Bacterial Virulence (BV) study section. It was canceled without notice this morning.
Without those grants, my lab must close within a year.

Given the time line for the NIH grant process, lets say the study section does meet in the future
what is the latest date teh study section can meet that would avoid a gap in funding, taking into account council, etc etc
I would guess if they met in May or June you would still be ok ?
the NIH tried to cover it up & got caught.
none of you spoke up about it.
that completely changed the public's perception of centralized, subsidized science & it will last for generations.
Even though I work in technology, I still consider myself a science nerd first.
