the logic is also incredibly malicious. the argument is that prisoners who don't make a habeas claim but sue for money damages after getting out were CLEVER LITTLE TRICKSTERS who lollygagged in prison twirling their mustaches waiting to sue for cash and not people who got screwed by the system.

I love how snide these judges are about a person seeking compensation because the government kept them in prison for over a month with absolutely no justification whatsoever.

And to file a habeas petition, from prison, using the shitty legal resources they have available? 41 days is not very long at all.
