It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office. Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc. Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

Medicaid is not for sale. NASA is not for sale. The Post Office is not for sale. America is not for sale. We have an obligation to resist kings. We outnumber them. And they can be overwhelmed.

We are now finding bird flu in deer mice and house mice in Washington State. H5N1 is advancing along the evolutionary ladder—affecting birds, mammals, and humans. This is not speculation; it’s a timeline.

“At least Russia has elections” Russia frequently jails and kills any opposition to Putin, who has been in power since 1999. If you like dictatorships, that’s fine. Just admit that. Don’t insult anyone’s intelligence—including your own—by claiming Russia has real elections.

Dark Pence is back.

Resisting comes in all forms. Here is a very creative one starting to pop up.

I follow French politics a lot, as many of you know. Any effort for mass layoffs of public sector employees there would create such huge strikes and marches, the level of disruption and paralysis would be biblical.

He’s not making up: news.bloomberglaw.com/banking-law/... Is this really what y’all voted for? 🫤 💰

And arrogant. Ive never encountered a class of people so convinced that they and they alone have the answers to everything, no matter what the subject in question is--from higher education to medicine to art and literature. They might have no training or skill in it, but are convinced they know best

The flying public needs answers. How many FAA personnel were just fired? What positions? And why?

When a judge stops the president from doing something illegal, that’s not a “threat to democracy,” that’s a check on the president’s power. That's the whole damn point.

We agree.

While Trump appoints 13 billionaires to his cabinet and Musk, Bezos and Zuckerberg see their wealth increase by $217 billion since the election, 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck, 25% of seniors live on $15g or less and millions cannot afford rent. SAY NO TO OLIGARCHY.

This country has seen some bad moments in the 61 years, 5 months, 16 days I’ve been on this Earth. But it has never, ever before come close to the supertoxic level of stupidity, mendacity, narcissism, nihilism, and moral apathy that threaten to destroy it today.

This cartoon by @mluckovich.bsky.social is getting banned on Twitter. Because of course it is.

So cutesy.

I think the reason people are frustrated with Democratic leaders is that they expect these elected representatives to act like a real disaster is happening, which it is. Four-day weekends and bratwurst junkets in Munich kind of undercut that

Just wonderful writing on the 60 Minutes piece on President aMusk dismantling of USAID "The world's richest man cut off aid for the world's poorest people." Well done.

Captures it perfectly.

Exactly 😡

Knowledge is power…

States are being ravaged by floods, thousands of federal employees were fired for being collateral damage of revenge, food aid rots in ports, bird flu/measles are spreading, inflation/prices are surging, yet the orange felon wasted millions riding around Daytona 500. I hate him.

Yep…

it sucks being my bfs only friend because this dude keeps talking to me about the NBA at 4am and i have NO idea what he’s talking about 😭😭

Someone said Drake makes “where my hug at?” music and I can’t unsee it

I like that he posted a picture of a print-out of the email.

The community note 🤌😘

This is probably the most accurate take.

We got a Costco membership for the first time in our lives today. They asked why & I said because treat your workers well, you value diversity, & you didn’t cave in to authoritarian demands. He said: “We’ve been getting lots of folks saying that, thanks for joining.” Who needs a gallon of ketchup?

Correct. This is a President of the United States declaring himself a dictator. And instead of Americans understanding that we’re now under imminent threat of martial law and tyranny, we’ll get a month of think pieces about what the President of the United States meant by his UNAMBIGUOUS statement.

My cat just stepped on the remote and turned the TV sound off. I guess you could say he mewted it.

Walking the dog. Like I do every day. She pooped. Like she does every day. I picked it up with a little baggie. Like I do every day. But today, instead of waiting to toss the bag of fresh, steaming dogshit in a trash can at home, I left it on the hood of a double-parked Cybertruck. Where it belongs.

My review of the first three weeks of the USA reboot: I don’t care for it.
