Centrists bigots and right wingers have this all backward. YOU are the ones constantly bringing up trans issues. I would be happy to not think about this shit every day of my life unless I was talking to or reading something by one of my trans friends and thought of it in passing. SHUT THE FUCK UP

Trump needs to be removed from office and his DOGE brownshirts all need to be arrested. Democrats need to start saying it and socializing the idea. How it happens is something to discuss later. But people need to start calling for his removal. He is a clear and present danger to U.S. interests.

if you replaced these guys' inboxes with a woman sportswriter's, they'd commit suicide by lunchtime

I promise no one will ever remove Trump from office if no one ever demands he be removed from office.

“we will work with the nazis to combat antisemitism” ok

Holy shit. This is so fucking weak. If I had spent money on an education here I would be so disgusted by this response. Taking notes from Nazis on how to handle antisemitism. My goodness.

Why would any serious person speak or attend an event at Columbia? They are desperately groveling at the gouty feat of a fascist and none of their censorial capering will ever buy them any lenience.

Email from Columbia President Armstrong makes clear that admin still has no idea what it’s dealing with. No amount of “serious action to combat antisemitism” (read: punish Palestine activists) will satisfy the Nazis. They see universities as an enemy institution to crush underfoot.

All the pundits spending time on Dems’ message on trans sports could maybe use a little of their power and platform to talk about how vile this is.

Don’t know what to do right now? It’s not complicated: stand up to Nazis.

You can have the cops come beat the shit out of your students to prove you’re not a filthy commie and they’ll still do this to you and all you’ll have done is show everyone what a pathetic little coward you are. Might as well do the right thing the first time

Feels like a think tank should be working on something called "The American Restoration 2029" which basically undoes Project 2025. This daily stream of changes to the executive branch leaves no doubt that any effort to return to normal governance will take a years-long planning process.

This is laughably unconstitutional, and when it's struck down, I suspect Trump will just end public service loan forgiveness altogether.

The Guardian is reporting that Trump is openly violating a court order, and has transferred multiple transgender women to men's facilities. We know in Florida, transgender women are having their hair shorn, feminine items confiscated, and pulled off medication. This is inhumane and illegal.

i am once again saying that if you allow polling to define rights, you don't have any real rights at all

Chris Hayes: Some Democrats are convinced they just need to keep their heads down and hope they can run on egg prices in two years. Not only is that strategy morally wrong in my view, but it is strategically wrong.

It feels like if you shut down four airports by blowing up your science project, you should go to jail?

utterly fucking astounding that any Dem would look at what’s happening and think that giving this administration sweeping new authority to prosecute speech on the internet is a good idea

We are all in the debris field of a SpaceX mishap

Look who’s up for reelection in 2026. Somebody please primary this man. Section 230 keeps the internet free and does not enable drug trafficking.

This is what brings me joy in dark times.

Democracy is burning, and we need sites like Bluesky more than ever. And Senator Durbin wants to repeal 230, which would massively stifle the ability of sites like Bluesky to exist, while massively empowering X and Meta. Why? It seems that someone in his office doesn't understand 230.

It’s time we stopped letting 80 year olds come up with laws and regulations for things they don’t understand.

Yea, that never happened.

i’m sorry, i’m tired of this shit. there was no pronoun policing. i have encountered exactly three or four land acknowledgments in like ten years, and the most you’ll hear about “intersectionality” is in liberal nonprofits. this is just freefloating resentment masquerading as analysis.

The Republican Party is trying to implement a form of Trumpian Juche where the working-class is required to sacrifice their material conditions and well-being for the sake of the Dear Leader’s personality cult

Trump's tariff policy is basically: "I'm going to touch the stove." "That's a bad idea." "I'm touching it anyway." *gets burnt* "Okay, that was a bad idea." *five minutes pass* "I'm going to touch the stove again."

Fascist coup going on and Dem leaders are trying to make the few Congresspeople who give a shit feel like they're getting sent to the principal's office. Get the net.

How can @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social be this tone deaf?

A little early in the day to sundown Donald. #dementiaDonald

For all the TRUMP = STRONG propaganda this is *exactly* what his “leadership” was like in Covid. Constant zigging and zagging, self-contradictory, incapable of commitment, wanting to have it both ways. It was a disaster!

Why does everything @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social say sound like it is coming from a AI chat bot?

One way to think about this administration is: Trump's last full year in office was a global pandemic with no known cure that filled hospitals with dying patients and shut down the entire in-person economy. And firms think the current business environment has *more* uncertainty.

These aren't popular moves. They're unpopular - even Republicans are divided in many cases. No one should be scared to oppose them.

Americans Don’t Support Autocrats We have the data to show it. Trump's autocratic actions are really, really unpopular. Democrats should not be afraid to say so. The latest from me and Sam Fuller. open.substack.com/pub/ryandeno...

These 10 Democrats joined Republicans who voted to censure Rep. Al Green for his act of protest during the lie-filled speech Donald Trump, the first felon to be elected president, gave to Congress on Tuesday.

🚨🚨🚨#VichyDems - here are the Democrats who voted to censure Al Green. Absolute cowards - primary them all

Trying to put myself into the mindset of an advisor who urges a Democrat to take this vote. No general election voter would ever care about this, but you'd better believe Democrats voting in the primary will.

Even if he was, why would that be wrong? It’s DEI to be inclusive of Republican points of view, no?

Elon's government email is: [email protected] Please don't send anything to it, that would not be good at all! theintercept.com/2025/03/06/e...

Rep. Al Green showed that he is the only House Democrat with a spine. Heckling fascists is better than whatever the fuck those paddles were supposed to do. The below Democrats should all be primaried in 2026.

Hot tip: The electorate doesn’t like politicians because they retroactively change positions to last year’s dementia grandma Facebook meme. They like people who proactively take stands. That’s what people mean by strength. It’s almost irrelevant what you’re talking about. Nobody likes a worm.

"The first guest on Gavin Newsom's podcast was Charlie Kirk" is more than enough for me to say "absolutely not" to any suggestion Newsom play any role in the future of the Democratic Party. People like him are the past, the failures, the ones who got us here.

Even the people who support Nigel Farage are saying they don’t like Trump! America is quickly becoming the pariah of the world.

It’s a problem. Dems think rectitude and decorum are keys to seizing the center, but “we submit to abuse and never defend ourselves” is an ethos that appeals to approximately no one. www.offmessage.net/p/trumps-las...
