Can you give us some specific examples? Comparing it to alternatives (vue, svelte templates) , how is jsx bad ? Especially using with typescript, others can't even come close with type safety for large projects.

Stumbled upon your YouTube channel by accident, like your channel πŸ‘ I wish there were more ways to find creators like you who update infrequently (monthly or yearly, part-time), but create excellent content with each video.

I'm a huge assassin's creed fan, and I wanted to play some new series. I see Final Fantasy 14 trending and people seems to love it,I want to give it a try, but when I see "14," it scares me. If it were just 4, I would start from first game just fine, but catching up with 14 seems impossible. thanks

I've never played any Final Fantasy games. I don't need to start from the first game?
comment in response to post
Exactly. I know it's good, but I want to know why it's sooo good

and, since you are using it to test LLMs, I don't think the test runner speed is the main reason ?
comment in response to post
really ? I thought it's just a faster jest replacement. What do you like most about vitest?
comment in response to post
It is consistent and really helpful.

if it breaks previous versions exposed API, it is breaking chance

you did 1 clickbaity thumbnail a while ago, but other than that your channel is still pretty awesome. and I'm sure it's not entirely on you. maybe many people just tired of dev content and playing games or something 🫠. I hope you do whatever you enjoy doing

if you played Little nightmares, you might enjoy the game Limbo (and Inside by same company, but not as good as Limbo).

Horizon first game is really good. second one is way too big, I did't started it yet. the recent lego game is way too childish.

--> (not just for svelte update announcements once/twice a year)
comment in response to post
hello Rich, I like your videos, would you consider doing more videos about web dev (not just svelte) ? like Ryan(solid)

I get what you mean now.

wait, what ? how ? 600GB ? or 6GB ? I use fs-extra, never thought it was that big 😱

nuclear fusion may really not be that far away. www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsik... www.helionenergy.com/articles/ann...

yes, In production everyone use RQ (or equivalent of RQ), In demo(prototype) use useEffect to fetch data is more than fine.

I don't think I've ever seen you trashing react.
comment in response to post
I tried router, it is indeed really good. how did you come up with that intuitive api design, like in react-query. did't tried start yet, maybe worth a try when I need ssr.

thanks for your contents

for comparison,I follow webdev simplified and Josh to look into more in depth/specific stuff.
Since you're here, I want to ask you something in a friendly manner:
if you hard cut ad into your video and put an ad finish timer, how much does it affect your revenue ? like -20% ? -50% ? -90% ?
comment in response to post
could you post some example of big corporate media focusing on frontend land ? just for reference. because I don't even know they exist.
I follow your channel for exciting latest frontend developments (like a news channel).
comment in response to post
if you taking sponsorship, just hard cut it in your video and read the ad script, ideally put a timer (Veritasium (www.youtube.com/channel/UCHn...) , huge if true (www.youtube.com/@CleoAbram)) , let me know this part is just an ad, not an authentic recommendation from you.
comment in response to post
is next minute is an ad ? I don't know why they think integrating ad in their hard worked creation is a good idea. I (maybe most people) just want complete opposite of this take: www.youtube.com/clip/Ugkxkhc...
comment in response to post
yeah, and what is even more annoying is when they try to making the ad more integrated with content or more fun and interesting (like sometimes you watched half a minute of ad without realizing). this kind of practice ruins the creator authenticity for me, leads to me wondering if this is an ad ?
comment in response to post
and as for this post, not matter how you sugarcoat it, it is just an ad, or maybe some kind of sponsorship, just not a thing I wanna interactive with.
comment in response to post
for example: a physicist posting thoughts about a show she watched. very authentic. www.youtube.com/watch?v=MdLH...
comment in response to post
but maybe, many people just wanna see authentic real people post anything that they enjoy, not some algorithm driven business content.
comment in response to post
this is amazing πŸ‘
comment in response to post
others seems valid, but can you really become funnier doing something ? I rarely see this trait changes over time
comment in response to post
same, are there any good ways to find packages? npm is not very helpful in this regard
comment in response to post
sometimes I need to delete bun.lockb and then I can install new packages. but 99% time, it works fine. but you don't wanna this kind of unreliability(1%) and just wanna finish work early and go home πŸ˜€, so use most reliables tools for work
comment in response to post
definitely worth for side/hobby projects. as for big commercial production project (with many people working), maybe not yet πŸ‘
comment in response to post
Can I read the book after watching the show and still enjoy it ?
comment in response to post
did you tried bun(just for package managing). I used to use pnpm, now I use bun for monorepo and package managing, it is much faster.
comment in response to post
yes, great show, I am really looking forward to watching season 2.
comment in response to post
"been told to lower my expectations" by whom? show creators? don't scare me😱, I love this show
comment in response to post
Mainly interested in router.Just checked, seems stable enough for my projects

It's too soon to say if it will replace Twitter, but I'm very happy that bluesky exists.

is it stable already ?

video playback quality is always very low on web, and it only becomes HD when the video is almost finishing. please try to fix it.
