Reading this made me feel like I was in the twilight zone, but I'm thankful for the singular drop of sanity.

Crawford: Today, Wisconsinites fended off an unprecedented attack on our democracy, our fair elections, and our Supreme Court.. Wisconsin stood up and said that justice does not have a price, our courts are not for sale

Says the guy who spent millions to elect a judge that will soon be the deciding vote on a case involving Tesla’s ability to sell cars in the state.

Congratulations to Judge Susan Crawford on her victory, and to the people of Wisconsin for electing a judge who believes in the rule of law and protecting our freedoms.

New — Here is a running list of Dept. of Health and Human Services (HHS) offices that have either been fully eliminated or gutted into non-functionality as a result of today's mass firings (provided to me directly by a CDC staffer):

I could do without Schumer trying to horn in on the moment though. Go fucking DO something Chuck. We’ve shown you how.

moving forward I would like to see dems gum up the works every way possible. No unanimous consent, full votes on every tiny piece of business. I don't expect everyone to have the stamina to do a Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, but many lengthy floor speeches. Just slow everything down to a crawl.

NEW — This AM former HHS staffers confronted Sen. Jim Banks (R-IN) about slashing budgets and staff, per video shared with me by Mack Schroeder, a former Budget Analyst for the Office of the Secretary.  Banks tells Schroeder he "probably deserved" to lose his job "because you seem like a clown."

what booker is doing right now is an example of what i mean when i say things like “we need more ambition right now.” there is room in american politics right now for people with ambition to take big stands and reap the rewards. he’s doing it!

@booker.senate.gov has been speaking on the Senate floor for more than 20 HOURS and counting. #RESPECT

Good morning. Cory Booker has now been speaking on the Senate floor for 12 hours straight. talkingpointsmemo.com/news/inside-...

Trans Day of Visibility. So much more work to be done. But I'm so thankful for those who have made my journey easier.

This letter was the hottest thing I've read all week. So glad some folks are standing strong.

“If lawyers and law firms won’t stand up for the rule of law, who will?…Lawyers and big firms: For God’s sake, stand up for the legal profession, and for the Constitution. Defend the oath you took when you became officers of the court.” www.nytimes.com/2025/03/30/o...

One consequence of tolerating pseudoscience is that people die when its legitimatization becomes baked into our culture, health care systems, and institutions.

These always bring me joy.

Someone tell DOGE! Brutal photo by huff post i love it

JD Vance slams Demark for not doing enough for its citizens, when it provides universal healthcare for all of them when the US does not, and they're ranked the "Happiest Country In the World." The US ranks at the bottom of that list. America is a delusional country that got high on its own supply.

Hiring your brother is the original affirmative action for white people.

. The FCC is investigating Disney for checks notes… DEI programs. The same people screaming about “big government overreach” are now using the government to punish companies for hiring diverse talent. Totally normal not hypocritical at all. #MakeItMakeSense #DEI #Disney .

Members of Congress can send official mail via the United States Postal Service without having to pay for stamps. A notice that DOGE gained access to sensitive personal data and recommending steps to mitigate that harm could certainly be official mail. This is an excellent idea:

Dear Democratic Members of Congress, Stop telling me about what he's doing. We can all see it. Start telling me about what you're doing to stop it! Signed, Americans

Greenland turns for help upon the unwelcome arrival of JD Vance and his wife Usha.

Benghazi this shit. Make this Senate investigation last months and drag them in for questioning every day.

Really feel like I’m losing my mind: government OBVIOUSLY cannot punish an individual law firm for hiring someone it disfavors! It’s ludicrously unconstitutional and I feel like without a day of law school I could argue the case. And yet the best paid lawyers in the country are folding?

Republican-controlled Georgia Senate is going after DA Stacy Abrams as retribution for holding Donald Trump accountable for breaking the law. We are a broken country. www.wabe.org/georgia-sena...

This is fucking monstrous

Dear Trumpers: So you gave him & Repubs control of the WH, House & Senate & there's STILL "witch hunts" causing him & his administration to get in serious trouble? If so, wouldn't this then mean he/they are SO incompetent that anyone can still fuck with them? Think about it...

If you think what happened to Rumeysa Ozturk can't happen to you because you're a citizen and she's not, you are sorely mistaken. Ozturk was snatched off the street not for being a national security threat but for having a wrong opinion. If we don't put a stop to this, it's coming for all of us.

How is America working for you? #FreeTheBear

Not to be a wide-eyed naïf about such things but... am I right in thinking that they levelled an entire building to get to one guy and *that* is not controversial to anyone in the American media or political class, only that this information was recklessly shared in an unsecured chat?

Yesterday, Gabbard testified: “There was no classified material that was shared in that Signal chat.” So the Director of National Intelligence lied to the US Senate.

Top GOP Senator Roger Wicker just called for an investigation into Trump officials for sending classified military plans on Signal and lying about it under oath. This is turning into a massive scandal that even Republicans can’t ignore.

Trump’s executive orders attacking trans people will affect cis people, too.

🔑 under-discussed point — why they were on signal:

According to a source I have at the CIA, Director Radcliffe lied today under oath. Signal is absolutely not loaded on agency computers. As a matter of fact it’s specifically prohibited as an outside app. Skype is allowed for conference calls but not Signal. He’s lying. @markwarner.bsky.social

JUST IN: American Oversight is suing Hegseth, Gabbard, Ratcliffe et al, saying their messaging via Signal is a violation of the Federal Records Act. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

ICYMI: Trump's Ukraine and Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, was in Moscow, where he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, when he was included in the Houthi PC Group Chat. www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-e...

It's critical for everyone to remember what an Executive Order is. It is the President communicating orders to members of the executive branch. Policies to pursue, actions to take, etc. They are not laws. They are not close to being laws. They are formalized memos to employees. That's all.

People keep talking about the security implications of the Hegseth leak. The other issue is they are likely illegally using Signal to bypass mandatory government record keeping. That should be equally as terrifying.

If Dems fail to make Signal leak an incessant story demanding resignations/impeachment, it would be a mirror image of Benghazi, her emails, etc. In face of GOP zone-flooding, Dems cowered instead of calling bullshit; now when GOP says Signal leak is NBD, a failure to push back would be catastrophic.

Okay, but how could we have possibly known Hegseth's lack of experience would lead to a colossal national security disaster?

but her emails

Was waiting to see what she thought.

We need more of this.
