Happy 6 year gotcha day to our lovely pup River, rescued from a third floor two bedroom apartment occupied by two disabled never-leave adults, three children one with medical needs, a lovely 70 pound pittie, and another apparently less friendly dog.

My day so far...

Ok LoseIt app, I see what you're doing....

No accountability?

Where'd you come from, little dude?

This is next level! 💥

Coffee Chronicles 20250303: in space, no one can hear you scream. Unless you're Lambert. Definitely heard her.

Yes. I have indeed seen this "weather pattern" before....if that's what they're calling it.

Coffee Chronicles 20240219: this morning I have been interrupted twice by the floor sweeping Ottobot getting stuck on various objects and things stuck in its spinny cleany bits. So I'm not yet worried about the robot uprising, at least not from most of the current domestic bots.

Love this bit by Keith Lowell Jensen

Read the article: none of the body language "experts" agree on what the body language is saying and in fact contradict each other about simple things like what one person standing, the other sitting means. Smells like pseudoscientific BS. www.huffpost.com/entry/donald...

The gnomes are growing restless. I'm not sure what they've been watching to know how to make a Molotov cocktail is (ok we've watched a couple of spy films recently..it's our fault) , but this one is also refusing to show me if they have a lighter or something else in the other hand.

The word 'symposium' comes from a Greek term for a drinking party, should you be looking for a truthful excuse to knock off early.

The Papua New Guinea Courier is in rare form.

Coffee Chronicles 20250205: woke up with the Folgers theme in my brain. I've always held that anyone who believes the "best part of waking up is Folgers", they should probably seek therapy. Not that Folgers is horrible, but it ain't the best part of waking up unless your life is truly wrecked.

GAAAAAAAH!

“Trump is acting like a king because he is too weak to govern like a president. He is trying to substitute perception for reality. He is hoping that perception then becomes reality. That can only happen if we believe him.” - Ezra Klein

The propaganda is shifting to try to get viewers to accept that they are about to be paying a whole lot more for everything

THIS!

JD Vance would like more babies. Matt Gates would like more teenagers. I just wish we had more adults.

Hey, while we're talking about erasing history: In 1949 the US military held its first Aeriel Gunnery Competition, later known as "Top Gun." The best of the best competed in dogfighting and other skills. The team that won, was the 332nd: The Tuskegee airmen. So they refused to announce a winner🤡

Trump's treasury nominee Scott Bessent, who is worth ~$500 million, said extending Trump's tax cuts for the rich is "the most important economic issue of the day." When asked if we should raise the federal minimum wage above the current paltry $7.25 an hour, he said, "No, sir."

WHO DID THIS!

I'm worried the Omadome and Omaha Rock are becoming too powerful. We must build a task force to begin limiting their ambitions and automobile sacrifices before the dome/rock combination begins expanding across the Midwest and we have another dust bowl.

Sagan was a prophet.

Word of day is ‘unasinous’ (17th century): united in stupidity. A riff on ‘unanimous’: which comes from the Latin for ‘one mind’. ‘Unasinous’ means ‘one ass’.

Media consumption is not media literacy.

“The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” ― George Orwell, 1984

Word of the day is ‘catch-fart’ (17th century: an obsequious individual who will always follow the political wind.

Just making sure that everyone is aware of this crab that NOAA scientists found

Sadly Holy Grail came out in 1975 while Alien was 1979, and M Python wouldn't have had the licensing money for this (although back then may not have been an issue and might fall under parody/satire fair use anyway).

Today I learned the cybertruck is illegal in europe.

It's Friday. And on Friday... DANCE, we must? 😩

Coffee Chronicles 20250117: just read the SWA bag size check sign as "If it fits, it's a crayon. If not, please check it." I need sleep.

Possibly the best clap back against ignorant antivaxxers.

I stand by this.

Elon Musk says more C-section leads to more bigger brained babbies, so is this the Muskonic ideal babby? Dude needs to stop the late night Star Trek methathons, because he appears to be retaining all the wrong lessons.

I’m sorry I posted this again but I can’t get over this is going to be into the WH again. ☠️
