As Republicans go all in to remake the US, Democrats are crashing podcasts and talking sports?

Trump is illegally firing the few people who are truly holding Musk, Zuckerberg, and Bezos accountable. The billionaires give Trump tons of cash. Then Trump breaks the law for them so that they can screw over workers, small businesses, and consumers.

This is not cutting waste, fraud and abuse. This is chaos and anarchy.

NEBRASKA CROWD: “TAX THE RICH! TAX THE RICH!” @USRepMikeFlood: “So your proposal to solve (the debt) is tax the rich?” NEBRASKA CROWD: *CHEERS WILDLY* (not sure this went quite as he planned 😬)

There is no substantive difference between a government shutdown and what Republicans are already doing and intend to do in the future. The only thing that’s changed is that the GOP can now claim to have bipartisan assent for their wave of mutilation.

If you supported a 10 year old American child with brain cancer, on her way to medical treatment, being deported because her parents are undocumented (but have no criminal records), then you’re a horrific person and I’m not sure how you sleep at night.

Chuck Schumer suggests it is antisemitic to say what Israel is doing in Gaza is a genocide. Yet some of Israel’s own top scholars of genocide and the Holocaust, all of them Jewish - Omer Bartov, Amos Goldberg, Daniel Blatman - say it is a genocide in Gaza. Does Schumer consider them antisemite too?

RIP Schumer’s political career. BTW his book tour starts this week with stops in DC, ATL, and LA… #Schumer #ChuckShumer #HumanRights #ImpeachTrump #DumpTrump #FireElonMusk #StopTheCoup #DefendDemocracy #FightingFascism #StopDOGE #AntiTrump #AntiMusk @polrev.bsky.social

Sorry everyone, turns out it's too hard to go to Mars. Instead we're bringing Mars to you. It's gonna be desolate and shitty here now

🚨🚨🚨 So we're hitting the crisis point, with the apparent defiance or evasion of court orders on deportations and immigration, plus shutting down agencies, cancelling grants, and firing civil servants contrary to existing law. And claims from DOJ that Article II of the Constitution enables autocracy.

AOC is obviously the leader of the Democratic party. The time between now and when that becomes the reality, will very, very likely be more of the same tired appeasement tactics and sad sop losing.

Ignoring a court order on the grounds that “ah-ah-ah, the law doesn’t apply once you get to international waters!!” is absolutely sanctionable. 8th grade-ass lawyering. Completely unserious.

Zuckerberg also once took his parents to meet with Narendra Modi. The great free speech champion who has been busy attacking Biden just loves, loves!, foreign autocrats. Just like Musk. They have that in common.

“She describes [Zuckerberg] as a cross between a truculent teen and a toddler: he doesn’t like to get up before midday, even to meet prime ministers, and his obsequious colleagues feel obliged to let him beat them at board games.” Sigh. The tech bros are all the same.

Markets falling, investors fleeing the US, retaliatory tariffs hit Trump counties, allies abandon US weapons, environmental rollbacks spark outrage, and Putin stalls peace. This weekend's bulletin is free for all—don't miss it:

Many hours have passed and I’ve thought about what happened in the Senate some more. And you know what? I’m still mad as hell. I may just repost their names every day until everyone knows them by heart.

The first rule in fighting tyranny is to never capitulate in advance. You broke that rule. You are not up to the moment as a leader.

Wait. Schumer is starting a BOOK TOUR THIS WEEK?!? Is that why he rolled over so fast?!? I’m done.

Here comes Chuck Schumer the smelly old boomer The weakest man up on the hill He put his rump In front of D.Trump And then he said drill baby drill!

Chuck Schumer Helps Pull Democrats Back From Brink Of Courage

From inside the DoD: “Schumer's bungling over the past two months & creation of this lose-lose scenario is a complete dereliction of his duties. This was the sole moment where they had any real potential leverage to stand up and fight for the Constitution & they completely blew it from day 1.”

The terrible CR Budget bill — written by right-wing House Republicans with no input from anybody but themselves — was passed tonight with the support of 10 Democrats.   An absolute failure of Democratic leadership. NOBODY in the Senate should have voted for this dangerous bill.

people who have been consuming nothing but law, policy, and robert’s rules of order since they were on student council in high school are unprepared to meet this moment.

Yeah it’s hard for Dems to scapegoat Schumer when 9 others joined him, and more importantly when he is the leadership they’ve chosen multiple times. It reflects on all of them.

These are the same Senate Democrats who lectured the base for years about the importance of preserving the filibuster so it would still be available when Democrats were in the minority

Senate Democratic leadership essentially played dead today and greenlit the Trump-Musk-Vance coup. What is the point of the Democratic Party if it doesn't actually act like an opposition party? Hello?

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House. We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication. They own what happens next.

I also want to reiterate that it took every single Democratic Senator to agree to this deal. A single Democratic Senator could have denied unanimous consent, pushed this into Monday, allowed more time for the discontent to fester. Every Senate Democrat is complicit. www.politico.com/news/2025/03...

Schumer is trying to justify his vote on Jake Tapper right now, saying if they had let the government shut down "they could fire half the workers in the federal government." WHAT DO YOU THINK THEY'RE DOING RIGHT NOW CHUCK

It’s done. I am done. No more defending Schumer. apnews.com/live/donald-...

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

And there it is. Accommodation and acquiescence. Learned helplessness and preemptive surrender. Retreat and complicity. In the midst of an unprecedented assault on the constitutional order, the nominal opposition party fails to use the one key tool in its arsenal to push back. What a disaster.

Collaborators with the fascists.

The 10 Dems that voted for the Republican CR

Unfortunately you have to primary everyone, not just because they don't have what it takes to fight, but because they don't have what it takes to rebuild. Last thing you want is them to win by default and then tread water until the next Trump comes to power

As someone who has criticized Mark Kelly in the past, all I can say is that this video is fantastic, this message is fantastic, and can we have more of this from the Dems please. 👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽👇🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Breaking — 10 Senate Democrats voted with Republicans to advance their funding bill, including: Catherine Cortez Masto Dick Durbin John Fetterman Kirsten Gillibrand Maggie Hassan Angus King Gary Peters Brian Schatz Chuck Schumer Jeanne Shaheen

BREAKING: The Continuing Resolution cloture motion has passed 62-38, advancing the CR to a final vote. These are the Democrats who voted to invoke cloture:

Well at least we tried our worst

Fuck the Democrats for all eternity. Never let these 10 people have a moment of peace in public. Primary them all.
