7 library books, 3 ebooks and 1 from the house (belongs to one of the kids, not mine.) I gave Home Fires 5 stars. I did read some non fic, just haven't finished any.

The difficulty is stopping myself from pulling all my books out and reshelving them.

No worries, any clear info is still helpful.

You may have answered this at some point but I missed it. Vaccines for these came in later in Europe and I had all 3 as a kid (well, mumps as a teen.) Should I look into a booster?

It feels like about now was when Boris was wandering around hospitals trying to get COVID. I didn't realise how long it would be before I went home (Dublin) again. Have really made an effort since to visit regularly as it feels like I never know when I just won't be able to go.

There was a weird week or two where Ireland had already closed schools and Britain was still pushing normality. Living in Scotland it felt a bit like the Scottish government would have liked to do full lock down quicker but needed Westminster to agree.

Thanks, good to know.

I got off Facebook over a year ago. Am sad about the looser connection to my parents' generation of Irish relatives, but there is a WhatsApp group so still see child cousin pics. I am still on Instagram but don't open it much. It is very much pushing reels at me and find them a time suck.

God, it's so shameless.

This afternoon I have been making some wonky cranes. It is very annoying how I am not magically good at this right from the start. Seems unreasonable. Also, am watching the documentary One Day in September.

It holds up. But Amazon tried to auto play The Road after which is too much for me.

Encouraging all Scottish media figures to ask John Swinney if he agrees with SNP voter @dov.bsky.social that an independent Scotland should dispose of Trident by transferring it extralegally to Ukraine.

I am just going to write a villain in a book who walks in and says “HA HA HA I AM A VILLAIN, I WANT TO DESTROY THE WORLD, AND I WILL GET AWAY WITH IT BECAUSE I AM RICH” and it would be less obvious.

My brother bought me one a few Christmases ago and at first I was a little eye rolly because I have pans and a blender but actually it is great. It can probably make something other than leek and potato soup but it's classic for a reason.

I always delete Midlothian if it auto fills. But, yeah, it's annoying. Also the source of @rebelraising.bsky.social 's complaint about my favourite meme.

Not broken anything but both younger and I are still ill. We did go to impossible book quiz yesterday and win but clearly energy wise that was a mistake.

When I'm not noticing the meta story or thinking I would love this if I was a slightly different person or oh that's clever or beautiful writing. All I'm thinking is how dare that person who has been drawn in 60 pages do that. But it's still believable. Humans do this sort of thing all the time.
