Wow, damn. Yea, she is for sure right.
When I taught K-12, we just told kids not to have their phone out in class. But that then led to them going on social media in the bathroom and starting stuff that way.
It was a great school, but this would’ve helped a lot.

No one’s safe from the MAGA makeup trend on tiktok. Prayers for this man’s pores.

A “statement of diversity” is just a personal statement which shows your experience and understanding of marginalized groups and potential barriers.
F/e, I work at a college that serves a rural area, so it’s important that candidates understand the barriers that our students face. It’s not deep.

I appreciate your honesty on here and on the pod - it feels like a lot of Niners journalists and fans have some kind of blind optimism about this offseason.
To me, it feels more like an owner saving money and/or a front office getting too cute.

I love this list and I think it importantly does not include anyone from this senate…
Frankly, it feels like they’re all complicit in letting this CR pass.

Men are shifting right because Republicans are making their lives worse and telling them to blame women and immigrants.
Democrats should be pointing out this *extremely obvious* dynamic, not trying to peddle a lighter version of the same narrative.

A day ago Trump called him a Palestinian, as if that’s an insult. He questioned Schumer’s loyalty to his own people, while continuing to demonize the victims of Israel’s aggression, and Schumer STILL agreed to cooperate on the CR. Honestly, it’s sad.

And, according to Tim Sheehy earlier today on Fox, Trump caused this recession to “re-discipline” the economy. They can’t even pick a lie.

Yea, I think bipartisan compromise is less appealing when the party in power is actively disappearing dissidents…

Hey, just my two cents as a fan of your Kings work -
Remember to make time for something fun and fulfilling - playing a game, working out, etc. When we’re stressed, we cut corners on ourselves. And lean on your community - ask friends to get dinner or talk on the phone. They want to help.

I taught middle school in MN. Having free breakfast and lunch for every student every day was a game changer for all of us. And they’ve passed some great legislation on housing there too.

They’re currently jailing protestors for being Palestinian and most of the establishment Dems are out here saying, “Can’t we just meet the racists where they are? What happened to bipartisanship??”
Totally unserious opposition party.

Which, as you might imagine, is really bad for their development as readers.

As a parent, here’s one suggestion - if your kids are new readers, ask their teachers if they use, “the science of reading.”
If they’re don’t, they’re probably not teaching phonics at all. They’re teaching them “sight words” and “context clues” but never teaching them to actually sound out words.

And there are so many fad curriculums and forms of instruction that linger even after we collectively learn that they’re ineffective. And that’s largely because we have this vast, disjointed system where every individual teacher reinvents the wheel every year.

My wife and I are former K-12 teachers. From my experience, there’s so little support, infrastructure or guidance for teachers in the US. We’ve accepted that people will just burn out of the profession.
No one can sustainably improve and meet greater goals for students.

I understand the vision of getting younger. They looked REALLY slow last year.
But yea, Brock might be doing a lot of scrambling, which is not ideal.

Thank you! Public opinion moves as the public learns more. To cede ground on these issues when millions only know the propaganda is pointless.
“Their gender identity is valid, but not in THIS way,” is immoral and a losing position.
