Very cool! I covered a bit of WNBA before switching to USWNT/NWSL. Has been on my bucket list to see the Savannah Bananas

Hi Joel! I see you play fantasy football. Wondering if your roster is a potential fit for the first woman quarterback in the NFL? Her worst fear is the jeering from league fans & media but she has to try for that Super Bowl anyway. (Women's fic, ~85,000 words, narrated by a female sports journalist)

(& yes! POV character! There's the term I'm looking for)

That's helpful, thanks! Re: interiority - What are your thoughts on an unreliable narrator (who's not the MC) who intentionally tries to keep their thoughts & feelings distant in the beginning (bc they're an 'unbiased' journalist), but have to narrate w/ increasing interiority as the story unfolds?

Hi Hanna! Thanks for doing this. So sorry I'm late (busy day for me at work). Your bio says you like books with a strong emotional core. Are there specific elements that you find particularly emotional?

Good to know. Thanks for sharing, Caroline!! :)

Hi Caroline! Thanks so much for your time. Are you a fit for a sports story? (Women's fiction about a female NFL quarterback with a crippling fear of negative opinions. Enemies-to-lovers romance included)

Ooo yes I love it!!!
Mine is about a self-conscious and media-fearing quarterback who is the first woman to play in the NFL. (Her name is Ellie too!) The story follows her rookie year in which she does everything she can to be loved back by the sport that has always owned her heart

Thanks Miranda! If my manuscript doesn't get picked by an editor, do you have self-editing advice on how to identify areas for development in one's own work or while beta reading for others I meet through RevPit?

I wrote a women's fic and would love to work as critique partners!

Hi Miranda! Thanks for your time. I have that gut feeling that something's not working with my story, but I'm having a hard time identifying what that is. What is your thought process or your initial strategies for spotting specific areas that need structural development?

Thanks so much Leah! Also, one more Q if I'm allowed: would you consider (sporty) women's fiction?
comment in response to
post
Hi Leah! Your bio mentions that 'depending on the story,' you enjoy MCs who grow confident as part of their character development.
What are the types of stories where you wouldn't be drawn to this kind of character development?

I also write mostly middle grade fantasy because I like to feel like a kid again. I'm submitting a women's fiction to this year's revpit but currently have a MG project on the go that I'm excited about :)

Hi Nicole! Is there anything you'd love to see in a contemporary women's fiction?
