Active Shooter training was required yearly when I worked downtown @ State Capitol. It was very sobering. I was told to keep a heavy duty door stop at my desk as my cubicle was near a door so I bought one. Can't even fathom having this conversation with your young child. Hugs to you both.

My pension plan used A1 (third party contract) to declare me deceased to SSA in error in 2021. I'm still dealing with the fallout 4 years later. In addition, contract vendor used MOVEit file transfer tool involved in huge data breach in 2023.

I was reported deceased in error in 2021 and fixed with SSA. However, IRS system has my file locked again this year. I can't electronically file and do extension every year and have to paper file. My US Representative contacted IRS at beginning of February and waiting for escalation again.
