Yah, my family member was like “well, mistakes will be made, but the gang members”…🙄

My Trump supporting family in North Carolina have good jobs/benefits/social security. They are unaffected. It might take six months but affects on that state and the research triangle will hit eventually. Sorry to say, for them “others” don’t matter and Fox doesn’t report it.

Setting up a fake classroom with little kids in the WH to release this EO about sinking DOE was disgusting. Will they even have IEPs anymore?

My 89 year old surprisingly computer savvy mom would rather call. More straight forward even if you have to wait. Schlepping an elderly person to an office is insane.

Proud of you!

The Bunker Hill on which this Democratic Party is willing to die…

I mean walking around our neighborhood, if you don’t know each other super well, people are not talking about their situations. I just put a super kind flag in my yard so people know where I stand. People are nervous all over.

Yah, my mom was “scared” that Harris would institute “socialism” with universal healthcare, but Fascism is welcomed with open arms 🙄

Thank you for posting. Of course, my mom is a Trump supporter and because her area is not affected, she will support this approach, but if the phone line is cut, that’s another thing.

The things my family member hates: That the country helps other people in said country, even though they live in a lovely house, have healthcare, and all the amenities.

My grandfather smoked cigars and drank whiskey and was kind of an awful person. Basically lived forever. This guy is in it for long haul.

Just took some extremely detailed sensitive data training, and I was furious thinking about DOGE the whole time!

Glad they are home. Must be glad to get their feet on the ground and see their families although it’s kind of a mess here.

Testing the waters. Start with a small non-gov’t org. Next try a bigger one, acct firm, etc.? Who knows. Our lame congress will, as a whole, do nothing. Up to people since law enforcement is compromised too.

I am so sorry and angry for you.

Great idea

We have to bring and accept everyone into the fight. I just try to think that it’s not illegal to vote for someone no matter how obviously wrong it may seem. We need as many people in the fight as possible.

Told my Trump supporting mom that there was a person who translated and supported American soldiers oversees and was in the US actively working towards citizenship with a lawyer. ICE took him, and he will probably be sent back home to a dire outcome. My mom was like, well mistakes happen WTH?!

I just don’t even know what else to say 😞

“Didn’t do enough.” “Shrugged their shoulders.” That’s rich coming from him.

I met someone too. He said these workers go across the world for weeks away from their family to feed starving children and save people from disease. The whole “waste of funds” and lazy” gov’t worker statements are ridiculous.

I thought the shut down was a given. Without it, I feel kind of shut down. I need a few more days to build back up after that and hearing this voted-in dictator makes me ill.

I used to only prep it on weekdays, but right now I have to on weekends too.

I listened to the audio book Handmaids Tale and my Trump supporting mom watched the series. She said “it’s such a weird story. I wonder how Atwood thought it up.” Reality perhaps? Personally, I’m expecting my credit card to stop working at some point.

Seriously read The Worst Hard Time by Egan. Historical book about the Dust bowl. Enlightening and it’s hard to believe that the U.S. got through that environmental disaster. People had amazing grit.

Honestly, I’ve known since middle school I saw the world and people differently than the rest of my family. I don’t use the word racist for them hardly at all since I visit them and I only have two left, but they are and always have been racist 😞

When Trump congratulates you for “doing the right thing,” it was absolutely the wrong choice.

Yes! My mom made some awful excuse like, that’s an overreaction. I was so furious!

You get what you get. Was never about egg prices. Was about hurting people who were different than themselves.

Yah, honestly, I didn’t but now I do. Glad it was shared.

Volunteered at my synagogue to watch kids perform a play and then eat cookies. Afterwards, adults stood in the parking lot railing about the government. It was in fact a good time, and I felt better.

Exactly

Good analogy. That series was a slow motion horror. Couldn’t sleep for days while watching it. Definitely like the last couple months.

Testify! And thank you for your service and standing up for people.

Weeks ago I thought a shut down was a given. If Dems can’t get it together for this, many more will fold as the country’s situation becomes even more dire. Long before September.

Very simple. Trump hates Jimmy Carter and Habitat was special to the Carters. Also, Habitat helps people in need, so Trump must squash it. Evil behavior as usual.

To me there’s nothing to understand. They are here to tear it all down. I’m glad we visited Quebec City for the first time last summer. It was so beautiful ❤️ I cried the first time I saw the Eiffel Tower years ago ❤️ I look forward to returning under better times.

As an American, keep up the French and Canadian outrage. I support you.

My son found a t-shirt at a thrift shop that I finally understand now. It said Less Assholes. More Trees.

Oh same. “You’re so sensitive.” Yes, I’m a human being with feelings for crying out loud 🙄

Both are educated as well, not “stupid” but always saw the world and people very different than me. I always felt like I was from a different planet.

They even called him a liar on Jan 6 and then voted for him again in 2024. Just can’t deal with it.

There will be Dems who vote for this. There were 10 who voted to censure Al Green for crying out loud.
