As much as I feel I could also say never, when the muses move through us, we are but a vessel of inspiration and must create what is there!

You and my husband, the only way I believe I could separate them was through death (not going to do it)

Thank you so, so, so much for sharing! I used to have an alias when I would do commissions and sold my paintings as I made them and I quite liked that space of safety and separation. But, I don’t think that would have worked for me now, my works are children’s books but it still intrigues me.

Ah, so interesting! (Please just tell me to stop if I’m asking to many questions btw). For the most part, does your reader community know it’s a pen name and know the person behind or are you a complete mystery?
comment in response to post
Ah I didn’t even think about that, same names (or similar) to existing people then having correlations placed outside of your control! How did you decide your pen name? Pure intrigue.

Oh hello! I am just trying to settle in over here too and haven’t quite found my space yet. Teachers, allied health, authors / illustrators, politics, and neurodiversity are my points of interest.

Joy beyond measure! To know someone connected with your work, sought out a way to contact you, and share a personal connection is a gift I treasure deeply.

Also: Universities, I don’t like you’re promoting human reflection and asking questions… anthropology you’re cut.

But. What if… what if your book is not a footnote to the current climate but a respite? A moment to pause and breathe between the tremors?

“I’m an ‘aspiring’ Artist”, they say and as I roll my eyes in response to the world aspiring I cannot help but see the way they have crammed art into every corner of their lives.

Regularly I get Neil but once I had Miss Nell pronounced “Seashell” by a teacher. They didn’t correct or have doubt either and I still think about it occasionally.

I just KNOW Matt Stone and Trey Parker are 3/4 through a South Park episode about this.
