Visited U of T Law School. Yax Snax is apparently now called J's Java and its poster features a mug with glasses. Will be sure to visit again when the new Dean arrives to see what they call it next!

I'm not going to pile on "great man theory" but I would want to point out that a surprising number of key innovations over the past 60 years, particularly in software, occurred in anti-competitive environments. Bell Labs was not an entrepreneurialism success story.

Slap 'em silly.

Managed to fulfill my LSO requirements (after months of trying to get LSO Connects to work) and file my FBAR today. So at least I accomplished SOMETHING.

I rode the GO Train today. Ontarians should take more pride in the GO Train.

Standalone ADHD and autism can appear very similar externally, but there's very different things happening under the hood. AuDHD is possibly a separate phenomenon entirely.

Whether dealing with Bill Goldberg or Donald Trump, there's only one way to do business with the Americans now.

I felt like I was being trolled the entire film. Might write a review.

This is what supporters of charter schools and vouchers don't tell you: because those schools aren't required to admit physically or learning disabled students, or ESL students, their "improved test scores" and whatnot are completely juiced—and it defunds the schools where disabled kids DO go.

Finally seeing the Brutalist tonight.

Hate when the US has to invest a bunch of money on goofy bleeping blooping tech BS because a communist country on the other side of the world might theoretically be able to use the technology to destroy us. Unfortunately, while history doesn't repeat itself, it does rhyme.

The Democrats may be overreliant on credentials, but I don't know what makes Jordan Peterson relevant to wildfire recovery.

This is a hard and nuanced topic, but I am glad some people are able to take in (if not agree with) my perspective. This plays into what Tim Miller and @radiofreetom.bsky.social were discussing on the Bulwark a couple of days ago. Hearing them give their views was a source of relief for me.

Bill Belichick’s UNC contract laying out what we already know about the elite bowls.

This is a beautiful tribute.

youtu.be/BaCTVjgEf58 I have posted my first video essay to YouTube. The topic in this video is how the ESG-centred approach to neurodivergent inclusion coming out of Europe has potential pitfalls and may not be the ideal approach to promoting neurodiversity in the long run.

I've learned that the guano in the Peruvian Guano case from 1882 was actually sea bird guano rather than bat guano. This has changed entirely how I understand evidence law.

It's been a real challenge because our main focus should be dealing with the deeply concerning wave of anti-asian racism that we're seeing, but Vivek's Urkel Tweet was really weird and I can't stop thinking about it.

Wait, there's a "Sports Bowl" now; I've seen it all.

It's remarkable how many people get their understanding of the hearing loss community from the cochlear implant clinic episode (it's slightly dated guise).

@sickoscommittee.org I got tickets for the Boca Raton Bowl. Is there anything I should watch for?

ESPN astroturfing opposition to the idea that the conference champions should have higher seeds in the college football playoff. You don't deserve a high seed if you can't win your conference.

I'm going through some of the Osgoode Society books I have, and apparently Chief Justice Jackett would gift Dick Pound's biography about him to his friends (personalization edited out of picture). I bought this one specifically at a used bookstore in Saskatoon a couple years ago.

There’s a new aspiring neurodivergent influencer on Instagram who is telling people that the solution to oversharing is talking to ChatGPT. That’s not dystopian at all…

Autistic kids are so resilient, yet they perpetually get told they're not resilient enough. If people understood what they were managing, they'd soon stop being so ignorant.

loom.ly/E8Atd_M Canadian lawyers, consider signing up for my Toronto Lawyers Association Zoom event on December 10th. If you aren't a Canadian lawyer, please save your money and don't sign up.

I get the sense I won't have to deal with this when getting tickets for the Elimination Chamber.

Was downtown giving a talk today. It was pretty easy to tell who was downtown for work and who was downtown for the Taylor Swift concert. The sequins were a big giveaway.

97% of people who watch WWE know it's scripted (wrestling was more fun when a third thought it wasn't, it was McMahon who ruined that btw), most of those who don't are below the age of eight. There are people who cover for the McMahons, they suck. But six year old kids are not the bad guy here.

I hate to be a devil's advocate, but intellectual discourse is a sport.

This is a bucket list item I didn't even think of.

Once again I beg you to understand me: RICO is not an emoji.

(my tweets getting zero likes) bluesky must be broken. that's the only explanation

I hope the mystery flavor is unfrosted.
