If any random man in a mask can say he’s the police now, all it means is more women and children foreign and non foreign alike are going to be kidnapped in broad daylight and no one will stop them - we all get that right

Even if you accept the premise and decision, which I absolutely do not, it is the simplest thing to phone the visa holder, tell them their visa is revoked and say they have a month to leave the country. Accosting someone on the street like a kidnapping is just a spectacle of terror.

I fear that while the Model U.N. Generation tells us why what Trump et al are doing is against the rules, he is cleaning our clock. So many politicians worked hard to never have any real power — because then you’re accountable — that they’re stunned to discover that power beats politics every day.

hello ok i am awake what did i miss tell me every thing

“How Elon Musk’s SpaceX Secretly Allows Investment From China” 💸🇰🇾🇨🇳🚀 Joshua Kaplan, @justinelliott.bsky.social for @propublica.org

This is art. 🤗

🚨 Here we go. @warren.senate.gov - following yesterday's blistering initial response calls for Hegseth to resign. Note Sen. Warner also this am has called for both Hegseth and Waltz to resign as well. Every other Senate Dem & Members of Cong should be doing the same (if they haven't done so yet).

Protocol is clear. Every single official on that Signal chain needs to hand over their mobile devices. Pete Hegseth, JD Vance, Marco Rubio—all of them. This is a matter of national security and the rule of law. If it were anyone else, Republicans would call for this too.

Zero accountability and nobody is going to sack him. This is America now. Criminals, sex pests, drunks and clowns. That’s your government.

Pete Hegseth should resign and elected democrats should be building pressure to impeach him

It's painful how stupid these guys are

The thing about Trump’s team is that we learn how many morally bankrupt, marginally intelligent, men of utterly average substance have walked among us, seemingly successful, running money-making firms, CEOs and venture capitalists - even the richest man in the world. They have been unmasked.

As an alum of the Justice Department unit that reviews EOs for form & legality--the Office of Legal Counsel--I've been watching the EOs & memoranda as they came out. What struck me most is the centralization of control and access. Things are happening so quickly that many haven't realized it yet.1/x

VERY IMPORTANT to label this as what it is, The Police State Executive Order. it's not an exaggeration. This is the inner wiring of a police state.

I think this is what is most enraging about the damage they're doing not just to US alliances & partnerships, but to the federal govt, science & universities. They are vandalizing, defacing and destroying public goods that were the product of collective effort and sacrifice & belong to all of us.

Holy shit. Republican Harriet Hagemen got torn apart at a town hall in Wyoming last night. In a state that voted for Trump by 46 points. She tried defending DOGE and it went as well as you’d imagine. “Deport Elon, Deport Elon!” Watch to the end…

Steve Davis is arguably the second most important person at DOGE, behind his boss Elon Musk. He has done everything for Musk, who has described his lieutenant like chemotherapy: “A little chemo can save your life; a lot of chemo could kill you.” www.nytimes.com/2025/03/20/t...

John Roberts is getting lots of accolades for issuing a “rare rebuke” to Donald Trump by reminding him that we don’t impeach judges because of legal disagreements. But Roberts wasn’t “rebuking” Trump, writes @elienyc.bsky.social, he was bending the knee.

NEBRASKA CROWD: “TAX THE RICH! TAX THE RICH!” @USRepMikeFlood: “So your proposal to solve (the debt) is tax the rich?” NEBRASKA CROWD: *CHEERS WILDLY* (not sure this went quite as he planned 😬)

My dear Grandpa, Frederick Stewart Gerrard, may his soul eternity RIP, who bravely fought in the WW2 1939- 1945 regularly spoke this quote 'If a Nazi is sitting at a table, with ten other people, then there are eleven NAZIS sitting at the table.' He also said, the only good NAZI is a dead Nazi..

if you just scan the headline — or if you’re just uncurious — you’ll think this is a “trump bad” piece but if you read it you’ll find that it is my attempt to explain what makes something “anti-constitutional” and why that is distinct from an “unconstitutional” act.

Shut down the government. Do it, do it now, do it right in the middle of 5th avenue, do it and let the English see you do it. Tell them it was you who voted against GOP madness. The message is simple. No Democratic votes for a lawless authoritarian government. @schumer.senate.gov

If every Senate Democrat said, "we won't let Musk and Trump do what they're doing to famers, to social security, to cancer research and to every American's health without a hell of a fight" and just repeated that, they'd be shocked by how much of America would be on their side.

I should only get benefits from living in a society. If I also have obligations that's communism

This is not how a democracy works and is why Democrats should block everything coming out of the White House until this stops. www.bostonglobe.com/2025/03/13/n...

If we can "avoid a government shutdown" by voting for this CR, then why is the entire Department of Education closed today? Why is USAID closed? Why are hundreds of billions in grant contracts frozen? We are already in the shutdown. And your votes DON'T stop it. In fact, they allow it to expand.
