This is a real tweet from vice president-elect JD Vance depicting himself as Trump’s wife.

I love that Lions fans went nuts for an offensive tackle end-around pass that didn't even work. They cheered after he took the yardage loss.

With the price of lumber going up 25% and 40% of the construction work force getting deported, I don't think the cost of housing is going to go down. But maybe that's just me.

Switzerland—Rejects a referendum to spend $5.6 billion on highway widening. Paris—Moves to replace 60,000 parking spaces with trees and green spaces. Oslo—Eliminates cars from city center, cutting greenhouse emissions 35%. Kathy Hochul and Doug Ford—Let’s ask suburban boomers what they prefer.

If you voted Trump to lower costs, the next four years are going to be a real kick in the pants. Luckily, you won't be able to afford pants.

It's wild how this experiment has been repeated about a hundred times now worldwide with the exact same overwhelmingly positive results every time and yet it will never inform public policy for some mysterious reason

Denver gave people experiencing homelessness $1k/month. A year later, nearly half had housing. They also had fewer ER visits, nights spent in a hospital, and jail stays. The report estimates that this reduction in public service use SAVED the city $589k. www.businessinsider.com/denver-basic...

"92 million low-income people in the U.S. states—everyone whose income is less than 200 percent of the federal poverty line—have some basic aspect of their lives decided by AI" www.techtonicjustice.org/reports/ines... this is a damning report

In our 7x7 mile city, SF now has 75 miles of transit-only lanes. Result: - Buses up to 35% faster - 50% reduction in injury collisions on transit corridors - Highest public approval rating since 2001 - Over 10 lines exceeding pre-COVID ridership www.sfmta.com/blog/decade-...

Damn and now Drake is going to have to pay a 25 percent tariff on that beef?

A broad 25% tariff on all goods imports from Canada and Mexico would, before substitution & other 2nd stage effects, put upward pressure on the level of consumer prices of +0.6%. That's the equivalent of an average loss in after-tax income of about $980 per household in 2023$.

Higher #gasprices are coming, primarily for the Great Lakes states, Midwest and Rockies, if @realDonaldTrump does as he says he will and put tariffs on Canadian oil supplies coming into the U.S.

Tfw you forget you’re the one who signed the USMCA (oops!) www.reuters.com/world/us/tru...

A 25% tariff on Canadian oil would have huge impacts to #gasprices in the Great Lakes, Midwest and Rockies, which are the major markets where refiners process Canadian oil. Refiners can not simply process lighter oil overnight. It would take huge investments and years. More US supply wouldn't help.

There’s losing a rap beef, and then there’s “your honor, I would like to put it in the record that his words harmed me.”

Pistons are just way too small as a basketball team. Shooting can cover a lot of sins but when you're not hitting shots all of those flaws are magnified.

Trump says he’s going to impose a 25 percent tariff on ALL goods imported from Mexico. Considering that the US imported $476 billion from Mexico last year — more than any other country — that translates into approximately $100 billion in import taxes annually, which will drive up consumer prices.

Half of US imports of oil, minerals, lime and cement come from Canada. This is insanely stupid and is going to cost the end users (citizens) so much money. Trumpers really are dumb.

Drake just signed a legal document acknowledging "Not Like Us" did him great harm. Is this not the biggest defeat in hip-hop history?

Trump announces blanket tariffs on goods imported from Canada, Mexico, and China

another woman is dead because doctors refused to give her standard medical care AFTER SHE ALREADY MISCARRIED. abortion bans are killing women even if they don’t need one. porsha ngumezi should be alive.

Disgrace. That's outside

We should redesign cities for autonomous kids, not autonomous cars.

Articles ignore the fact that a lot of us just want to mostly talk about sports without dealing with bots and trolls.

Israel destroyed 83% of plant life in Gaza by June this year. It destroyed 70% of its agricultural land. It damaged or destroyed 65% of water tanks and 47% of groundwater wells. Israel has deliberately tried to make Gaza uninhabitable. This is genocide.

Clench your jaw. Drink only caffeine. Don’t go to bed until 3 AM. Forget to eat anything until 6 tonight and then eat 2.5 plates of pasta. We’re in this together.

"You'll never be unhoused in America—if you're a car." There are a quarter of a billion cars in the U.S.—and 2 billion parking spaces. The nation now builds more 3-car garages than 1-bedroom apartments. 🅿️🧵

clickbaiting your team’s downfall is insane
