Now, with its grip on institutions, disordered discourse isn’t just shaping politics - it has overtaken those in power, who now govern as if manufactured narratives were reality, eroding the state and democracy itself from within.

It's incredibly disheartening from across the Atlantic. Anyway, going to have drinks with a friend from northern Virginia in an hour. Do not despair dear yanks.

Same goes for tankers & Europe urgently needing to replace USAF aerial refueling capabilities. Airbus A330 MRTT is a very capable
design, they need orders for a reengined NEO-based version. Spain has the FAL for both A400M and 330MRTT and bought ... 3, in 2022.

There is space for Poland. 🇫🇷 and 🇪🇸 likely to significantly reduce orders for A400M frames, at a time with zero alternatives available for heavy tactical airlift. How about a 🇩🇪🇵🇱 transport wing with Poland taking over Spanish workshare?

Modern antifascism has to be militant in its truest sense. Case A local anti afd rally last week had protesters in full KNDS uniform.

One day the US is going to discover how difficult & expensive it is to project military power around the world without the benefit of enormous bases and logistical hubs in Germany.

Legal threshold is very high, requires proof that AFD is actively working to undermine core liberal & democratic principles of the constitution. Proof can't be from secret/intelligence sources, must demonstrate "planned qualified preparatory action" against constitution, not just intent. Not easy

Took many rides with the CRH1 series "D"trains between Suzhou and Shanghai on the upgraded line at quite high speeds ~ 230kmh. That service got replaced in summer 2010 with 350 km/h "G" trains between Shanghai and Nanjing. Fun times

I was there in August. Very busy, bad traffic and way too many cars in the old town, and yeah the minibus service to the otogar is weird. Not a pleasant experience.
