What a wonderful idea…👇 Let’s. Do. This. ✨

Imagine that: a whole nation in which every person in a position of power—whether political, institutional or business-related—is an abject coward. What possible reason could anyone have to think that we'll still have a democracy in 36 months? What democracy defined by its cowardice ever survived?

A good time to replay the video of Lou Dobbs telling Stephen Miller to pay me $500,000,000 to stop beat Trump and the RNC in court. It seems Miller and Trump are still mad.😂

Democracy Dies In Decorum

I will use every tool at my disposal to protect this country from Trump. I will litigate to defend voting rights until there are no cases left to bring. I will speak out against authoritarianism until my last breath. I will not back down. I will not bow or scrape. I will never obey. Defiantly, ME

I just called the office of my rep. Jim Himes to express my anger that he voted to censure Al Green. Really cannot believe he did that. I told his staffer to let him know many of us feel he should have followed Congressman Green right out that door in solidarity. People, make your calls. Now.

really reassuring that the spaceX guy is taking over the FAA

Hey Republicans — take a lesson from @aoc.bsky.social. this is what it looks like to not be afraid, because you know you’re fighting for what’s right 👇🏽 🐐

Some of his readers have asked Mike Masnick @mmasnick.bsky.social why his technology news site, Tech Dirt, has been covering politics so intensely lately. www.techdirt.com/2025/03/04/w... I cannot recommend Mike's reply enough. It's exactly what readers need to hear, what journalists need to do.

For the rest of my life, I will never understand how a country full of people busting their asses, working paycheck to paycheck, allow the fucking richest guy on Earth to call them "parasites" while calling the Social Security we contributed to our entire lives "a Ponzi scheme." Un-fucking-real.

Does Columbia think it's discriminatory against Russian students to criticize Putin or discriminatory against Saudi students to criticize Saudi Arabia's genocidal campaign against Yemen? I guess I shouldn't give them ideas... www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

If you're 60, 69.1% of all job growth since your birth occurred under Democratic administrations. If you're 45, that number is 74.7%. If you're under 30, the number is 100%.

In an odd way, Trump's appalling treatment of Zelensky in the Oval Office may end up helping him. Donald was always going to sabotage Ukraine to please Putin, but European leaders watching Trump shiv Zelensky on live TV may be what galvanizes them to fill in the gap.

Today I’m angry. Enough of this criminal bullshit. I want that level of anger from our leaders.

I’ve got some free time this afternoon - let’s do a quick Q&A. Share your questions below, and I’ll answer as many as I can.

Something Rep. Al Green told me has really stayed with me: “I think we have to do as much as we can, as fast as we can to prevent him from becoming a dictator.” Rep. Green is a man of principle and is genuinely concerned by Trump’s overreach. He should be lauded not punished.

With his permission, I'm sharing Dean Treanor's response to Ed Martin's letter:

@repjasmine.bsky.social: "It's not the trans people who made you lose your job... who started a tariff war with Mexico or Canada or China... who are taking away the Department of Education... it's also not the immigrants. And it's definitely not the Black folk."

I see tomorrow is Friday. Is Friday going a tariff day, or a some-tariffs day, or a no-tariffs day? Or will it be some other kind of day, like an annex-Greenland day, or a Hannibal-Lecter-wants-to-have-you-for-dinner day, or an Arnold-Palmer-size day, or something else? I just can’t keep track.

Here’s a nice story, I re-met this gentleman in Appleton WI last night, he was my opponents tracker in 2010, would come and record me, but was always polite. We got along well, despite being on opposite sides. Now we’re both on the same side!

Someone needs to explain to our Sec of Commerce how capitalism works. America has a GLOBAL TRADE SURPLUS on services. Services have the highest margins and profits of our exports. That is where capital and expertise focused. It is why we dominate in tech globally.

No bone spurs detected.

Today, the House GOP censured me for speaking out for the American people against @POTUS’s plan to cut Medicaid. I accept the consequences of my actions, but I refuse to stay silent in the face of injustice. #WeShallOvercome x.com/repalgreen/s...

Every time I read a story like this I recommit to be louder and more defiant.

The White House is chock-full of people who should be institutionalized in some public facilities other than the White House.

French Senator Claude Malhuret: "Washington has become Nero’s court, with an incendiary emperor, submissive courtiers and a jester high on ketamine... We were at war with a dictator, we are now at war with a dictator backed by a traitor."

This is next level! 💥

Alina Habbard posted: NOTHING CAN STOP THIS MAN FROM FIGHTING FOR HIS COUNTRY. David Simon had a succinct 2-word response: “Bone spurs.”

Trudeau: He has said repeatedly, what he wants is to see a total collapse of the Canadian economy. Because that will make it easier to annex us. First of all, that's never going to happen. We will never be the 51st state.

Trudeau: "Every country is very aware that if the American government is willing to do this to their own closest ally, neighbor, and friend, everyone is vulnerable to a trade war."

Alina Habba on veterans who have been fired from government jobs: "Perhaps they're not fit to have a job at this moment."

Lindsey Graham is the definition of a weak, sniveling, gutless opportunist — an unprincipled political weather vane who grovels before power with embarrassing desperation. A hollow man with no convictions, no integrity, and no spine, shifting his loyalties whenever it serves his personal interests.

That’s right. 🇺🇦

Mike Lawler: "I've been very clear: I will not cut Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid." (Bookmark this one.)

We had Russia on the ropes. They were crippled by sanctions. They had made minimal headway into Ukraine. Putin had to survive a military uprising within his own ranks. He was down to pleading for conscripts from North Korea. Then he played his ace in the hole. Donald Motherfucking Trump.

WATCH: DOGE *savings* are filled with huge lies/errors and take credit for contracts that ended as far back as 2005. (@MarshaBlackburn - any comment?) Again: a charade to pave the way for tax cuts for the rich. It’s about ideology, not efficiency. Full: www.nytimes.com/video/us/pol...

NEW: USAID's acting asst administrator, Nick Enrich, has been placed on leave after sharing a memo detailing how political appointees have "wholly prevented" staff from continuing life saving aid.

Incredible chart
