Did you catch that: “…a check with Trump’s name on it.” That’s the important part. Like the Covid money, only this time there’s no economic emergency and it’s a thorough bribe.

I bought Hollywood Left and Right on eBay, came in the mail just now, and I realize I’ve read it already! Argh! Oh well. It was cheap.

So little would fix so much. We’ve let the rich convince us it is immoral and unpatriotic to limit greed.

I don’t know if the kind of political system that elects a worthless dick like this guy is capable of fixing itself.

Well… they have to notice (they didn’t notice a million dead of COVID), then they have to press their representatives to stop Trump, then they have to elect ethical republicans to replace the reps who won’t stop Trump, because the MAGAts will never vote blue. So it’s a long haul.

Musk’s boy geniuses can’t find HR’s employee review files?

That’s Plan B. Plan A is to kill everybody.

another tip: thrift stores have great picture frames. People redecorate and throw out all the wall art with the frames.

Hmm. I don’t know a lot about banking, but I can’t believe his debt matches his hundreds of billions in capital. I can dream it, though.

You’d think after 300,000 years Homo sapiens would have a handle on this problem, wouldn’t you?

Hegseth’s scandals are diverse. From money to drinking to sex. Does that count?

Covid takes the oldsters and measles takes the kids. Wonder whom bird flu will want.

I hope they’re getting nervous about Social Security. I know I am.

We’ll see.

Oops, Wagner’s podcast is Trumpland. Sorry.
comment in response to post
I dunno. A well-timed heckle from a governor and a few rowdy republican town halls do not a paradigm shift make. Listen to Alex Wagner’s podcast, Trumplandia. She’s not meeting people changing their minds.

The difference is between dismantling a program, which I guess a president can do, and just firing anybody who isn’t a white cis man. Even these days, that has to be illegal.

Exactly. It’s not only the corporations who don’t allow unions, though they don’t, the law is a great help to them. It is so dangerous and so much work to organize even one coffee shop, labor can’t often manage it. And when it does, a union shop in isolation is doesn’t stand for long.

In the 90s I argued with a college friend who said that autocracy could happen here. I said no; the US constitution will hold; democracy will always win out. I was real sure.

Vance knows it. He’s not stupid, he’s craven.

I bet it has little to do with the books and everything to do with her advocating COVID vaccines.

This has been kicking around for years. Are we finally taking it seriously?

Bottom line, they fired him for being black, which, even in this AMOK time, should still be illegal.

I love the Whirley Pop. The aluminum one because the thinner the pan, the hotter, and hot is the secret. I swear I don’t work for them.

They want to suppress votes first, any way they can think of.

They think about this a LOT.

Did anyone predict this? Somebody had Kid Rock and I think I saw Yakov Smirnoff floated, but did anybody get the J6 Choir?

It is a great puzzle that people so pro-life are also so fervently social darwinian.

We’ve been insulated from upheaval by oceans on either side of us. They’re not protective anymore. We’re about to see what it’s like to be ripped apart and looted by power-mad psychopaths as Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe have been.
