The tate brothers were why liam neeson needed to make use of his particular set of skills

So Trump imposes blanket tariffs, and only when a CEO pays him $5 million will he offer a carveout. Anyone who thinks he’s “draining the swamp” is either complicit or a fool.

This Repub CR, that they claim will keep the government open, is a perfect example of why you must read bills. Inside the text, you’ll find cuts everywhere, and so much money taken from vets you wouldn’t believe it. These guys are frauds. Nice try! Hard NO! Throw it in the 🗑️

DOGE cut off payments for the electricity, cell phone, and internet service of U.S. government employees who work in a high-risk area in Central America. Meanwhile, DOGE apparently plans to spend $25,000 to install a washer and dryer for their own personal use in a federal office building in DC.

Goldman on Musk: "Notable, somehow none of his $13 billion of government contracts he has determined to be waste, fraud, and abuse."

Is this free speech?

I'm not sure why we are pretending this has anything to do with "DEI" anymore. There is a systematic effort to purge any acknowledgement that race or racism or gender or misogyny EXIST

Our healthcare system is an extortion racket where thugs hold our lives hostage for profit

Tadaa.

"You Keep Using That Word, I Do Not Think It Means What You Think It Means"

So, the billionaire-appointed centimillionaire in charge of our Treasury wants all those “price of eggs” voters to know that it’s no big deal that everything is more expensive now because paying less for shit isn’t actually the “American Dream.” Is MAGA really that fucking dumb?

From the Department of: Well, obviously; No Fucking Shit. www.npr.org/2025/03/07/n...

“Strongly considering” sanctions on Russia from Trump means definitely not doing anything of the sort.

Everything got so stupid so quickly.

It's SportsCenter and it's not even remotely close

All I'm saying is, if you ran a campaign on democracy being at stake and democracy lost, isn't it time to be massively freaking out instead of doing this

The problem with Dems chasing public opinion is that THE PUBLIC'S VIEW OF THINGS IS JUST MOVING IN RESPONSE TO WHAT POLITICAL FIGURES SAY AND IT'S VERY OBVIOUS IN THE DATA MY GOD

There were many attempts to distill Project 2025. I read some good online primers about it. But the vast majority of the country just heard the words "Project 2025" and did not attempt to look into what it meant. And I think this is something to sit with for the future. HOW do you get ppl to read?

We are all in the debris field of a SpaceX mishap

They’re going to cut Medicaid

“.. When you see important societal actors .. C.E.O.s, mayors, governors .. changing their behavior in order to avoid the wrath of the government, that’s a sign that we’ve crossed the line into some form of authoritarianism.” @nytimes.com www.nytimes.com/2025/03/06/u...

Being a historian, people ask me if I think the US is living through Germany 1933. I answer no, analogies are always imperfect but to me it feels more like Russia 1999: a blatant theft of state assets and liberals in a fugue state, refusing to believe the arc of progress is bending against them.

Every time I read a story like this I recommit to be louder and more defiant.

I know people who cheer for cutting social programs—not to save money, but because they believe some lives just aren’t worth saving. Social Darwinism with a eugenics twist isn’t rare. That warning bell rang before, but when cruelty gets the green light, it spreads fast.

@adamtots.bsky.social

This is directly from project 2025

Apparently they're making a movie based on the boardgame "Monopoly" and I have no idea why because we're already living it

Give you one guess

Gavin Newsom looks at a member of a vulnerable population and sees a rotating rotisserie chicken like he's a hungry cartoon

“There are times when it is better to stand alone than not stand at all. This President is disrupting the healthcare system. He is all but defying court orders. At some point, we’re all going to have to stand up.” - Rep. @algreen.house.gov, after being removed from the House chamber, 3/4/25

This is a good idea

Main thing Democrat leadership needs to understand is that they’ll be punished for inaction as much or more than the GOP will be punished for their fascism.

Shameless.

You gotta love it Please repost this

“Those nasty Canadians are ripping us off and are controlled by Mexican cartels. They’re poisoning us with fentanyl and need to become the 51st state or they will pay a high price” is a belief that literally ZERO Americans had six weeks ago. It’s entirely invented from scratch.

@maddow.msnbc.com or her social media team…please advise

Love it.

Wu: If you wanted to make us safe, pass gun reforms. Stop cutting medicaid. Stop cutting cancer research. Stop cutting funds for veterans. That is what will make our city safe.

Once again I am suggesting that you break some rules for practice. Get comfortable with breaking rules. When the rules are hurting other people, the right thing to do is break them. We need people who follow their moral code over the rules of their society, university, employer, and government.

“.. In the end, the Party would announce that two and two made five, and you would have to believe it. .. For, after all, how do we know that two and two make four?” - “1984” www.barrons.com/articles/soc...

Let this sink in.

This list is so long and taking up so much real estate in his speech it’s almost like they want to distract from their massive cuts to Medicaid

French Senator Claude Malhuret: "Washington has become Nero’s court, with an incendiary emperor, submissive courtiers and a jester high on ketamine... We were at war with a dictator, we are now at war with a dictator backed by a traitor."

Al Green is removed

While it's fun to watch Tesla stock take a nose dive, keep in mind that Elon doesn't give a shit. He's about to make billions in government contracts and kickbacks.
