Maybe if I had a CRT screen.

Looks great. But no.

This game is just insanely good. I found myself getting tears in my eyes when NOT playing it, just by thinking how good gaming can actually be. To reiterate: it’s insane (or maybe I am).

Played a few days after credits. Not for me. Game takes a nosedive once you have fewer puzzle to solve. You get insanely rng dependent. I’m happy to have finished the vanilla version of the game. Don’t want to sully that experience tbh.

Credits rolled. What happens after is pretty much the definition of post game. Unless the credits is a red herring. And that doesn’t really seem to be the case.
comment in response to post
It’s a really good game! But the fact that I rolled credits after 8h soured the experience. Yes, there is more to do. But I generally don’t bother with post game content. 8/10

I adore how this game looks! I also grew up on OG Marathon. But this game just feels way too punishing and hardcore for me. I was holding out hope that Bungie would try and make an extraction shooter for the masses (a casual version a la Blizzard). Sadly that doesn’t seem to be the case.

I haven’t made my mind up. Far from it. But what I’ve seen makes me apprehensive. Especially given the fast upcoming release date. I’ll check out HiddenXperia though.
comment in response to post
From what’s been shown so far it seems depressingly generic. As Skillup put it, the game has no hook. A unique art style and good shooting is not what defines a potentially successful extraction shooter. They’re requirements, but not enough on their own. I’m still holding out hope. But it’s dimming.

I am still waiting for the first good looter shooter! Mechanics and systems like PoE2 and shooting gameplay of Destiny 2 (preferably in 3rd person). Feels like I’ve been waiting forever..

Coming from one of the most overtly political games of last year.

I’d argue that most good game developers know that some imbalances are critical for the enjoyment factor of a game. The question more likely is how much imbalance is optimal for a given title.

Ändå uppmuntrande!

I remember when I finally quit WoW for good. I had missed a good 10 years of great games. In some ways I’m still making inroads on that backlog. And I’ve promised myself to never again get caught up in another live service game. The opportunity cost is just staggering.

Sorry you have to deal with all these toxic culture warriors. For what it’s worth the silent majority is not bent on burning you at the proverbial stake.

I really dislike this new culture warrior YouTube rage farming meta we’re seeing. I struggle to call myself I gamer when this is how gamers make themselves known on the internet.

I damn near bricked Oblivion at release by spending like 4 hours in the first town leveling life skills. Got one shoot by a rabid rooster just outside the city walls!

In Stockholm about 7 cents. In the north of Sweden about a tenth of that. That’s the price before all taxes and distribution fees.

I for one would love more less scary horror games. I love horror but hate being scared. I want that cosy feeling of dread. Like Twin Peaks vibes.

I do have a close friends who always plays more than one game at a time, come to think of it. I never understood how he does it. He plays BG3 like once a week.
