This Paul Weiss capitulation is the most disgraceful action by a major law firm in my lifetime, so appalling that I couldn’t believe it at first. Any lawyers at that firm—partners or associates—who don’t promptly resign will defile their moral and professional reputations beyond repair.

This story is fucking bonkers

WIN WHAT MOTHERFUCKER THERE'S NOTHING TO WIN RIGHT NOW, YOU NEED TO FOCUS ON STOPPING WHAT IS HAPPENING THIS IS NOT ABOUT THE GODDAMN 2026 ELECTIONS

I thought this quote had to be a little out of context, but no. Every second of this is completely insane. @schumer.senate.gov is so determined to do NOTHING to influence public opinion—to "roll over and play dead"—that he will **give Trump permission to ignore every federal court except SCOTUS.**

Schumer needs to quit. He’s useless. Completely clueless.

This.

The touchstone of most authoritarian regimes is not the kind of total control that most people feel in their day-to-day lives. It is that the regime is only selectively bound by law, producing constant low-grade anxiety as to whether, how, or against whom power will be exercised.

Our Secretary of Defense almost certainly has more threatening/extremist tattoos and has more credibly been accused of sexual assault than almost all of the people being sent to El Salvador. No exaggeration.

Luke Farritor and Gavin Kliger murdered this kid on Musk’s orders.

It’s well past time for Obama, BClinton, and Bush43 to get off their asses and defend our Constitution. A joint presser would amplify various Trump critiques, and Trump/Vance/Musk would blow a gasket in response—magnifying the critiques. Only the country that trio once led is at stake. LFG!

Murphy: "If we continue to observe norms, if we continue to engage in business as usual, this democracy could be gone. I don't think we have a year to save American democracy. I think the way the president is acting ... puts out democracy at immediate risk."

Can’t emphasize this enough: if you’re feeling overwhelmed by the debased assault on our country, the antidote is connecting with other people in the flesh who are feeling the same way. There are millions of us.

If you think the goal/inflection point is the midterms…start listening to the people—journalists, historians, nat sec experts—who say we do not have that time.

Goodbye Tesla Boy, your car brand and stocks are going bankrupt even if you are the richest ypur money will deplete sooner. 🤨🤨🤨😠😠😠😠😠😠☠️☠️☠️☠️💀💀

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House. We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication. They own what happens next.

Collaborators with the fascists.

Democrats built their entire party structure on polite deference, seniority, and chasing bipartisanship—as opposed to elevating the most talented and passionate politicians. ...Leaving too many pale, stale (and, frankly, male) lawmakers in prominent positions.

This excuse-making rap is instantly familiar if you've studied cults like QAnon and NESARA. The Great Thing happening on "Day One" becomes "a few more days," which becomes "a couple more weeks," which becomes "definitely by September." Excuses to keep the followers engaged.

KEEP CALLING. PEEL OFF ALL DEM SENATORS YOU CAN. ☎️: (202) 224-3121 Tell them to vote NO on Cloture and NO on CR. Vote is pushed to after 1:15ish for now. Situation is fluid. The only public YES votes are Schumer and Fetterman. They need 7-8 total. KEEP CALLING. Call retiring Senators too!

I’m voting HELL NO on the Republican CR. It hands Musk and Trump a blank check, turning your tax dollars into a wanna-be dictator’s slush fund. No accountability. Just corruption on autopilot.

There are many Democrats who don’t agree with some or many of AOC’s policy ideas. But what she gets and more conventional Democrats do not is that political fight can be catalyzing and transformative. You can change the shape of the playing board in ways … www.cnn.com/2025/03/13/p...

Call your senators in: New York (Schumer, Gillibrand) New Hampshire (Hassan, Shaheen) Michigan (Peters) Illinois (Durbin) Hawaii (Schatz) Maine (King) Nevada (Cortez-Mastro) In Pennsylvania, call Fetterman and make fart noises.

democrats i swear to god if you back away from a fight where you have the moral high ground against a political opponent with tanking approval numbers that the entire country is mad at right now, i swear to GOD yall i freaking swear

If the Senate Democrats do this, yes, it’s a massive betrayal of their base and an unconscionable abdication of their duty. Every single one of them who’s complicit in this scheme needs to be driven out of politics forever.

CHUCK SCHUMER HAS TO GO. He’s way past his best by date and I’m not talking about age, I’m talking about usefulness. Senate Dems need to step up and have some courage.

Just so you know you can email Schumer here

Just so you know Democrats are voting to defund the public schools attended by the kids of their own overworked and underpaid staff

The richest man in the world gave a 22 year old without a security clearance everyone in America’s social security and tax information and Senate Democrats did absolutely fuck all in response. Incredible work everyone.

The only elections Democrats are losing tonight are their own eventual primaries.

No Dem Senator has to follow Schumer here. This is a weak stategic move driven by fear and learned helplessness. Don't follow him. He's leading the party into irrelevance and helping Trump and Musk in the process. Call your Dem Senators and ask them not to join Schumer's surrender tomorrow.

If you vote for this Republican Funding Bill, you are complicit in all that DOGE, President Elon, and Trump does.

It’s impossible to state how spineless, ineffectual, and dumb Schumer is as leader. Just reprehensible. AOC should announce she’s primarying him right now and she’d have enough donations by tomorrow for the rest of her career.

Ex Republicans or however Amanda would describe herself get it. Just gobsmacking that @schumer.senate.gov and other Senate leaders do not.

New Yorkers: Call Sen. Gillibrand’s office to vote NO on cloture and NO on the Republican Spending Bill. They vote in the morning. ☎️: (202) 224-4451

WTF, Chuck?!

A YES on cloture is a YES for the bill. Do not let anyone play games with you.

🔥🔥 @aoc.bsky.social deservedly lights @schumer.senate.gov on fire and explains what a stupid betrayal his vote would be 🔥 🔥https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT2qCNqS4/

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable. Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes. Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

Trump is STILL - RIGHT NOW - tweeting about Tesla. He's spent more time protecting the richest man in the world's profits than he has protecting healthcare, education, jobs, or veterans in the last 6 weeks as president.

Senate Democrats— A vote AGAINST the Republican CR isn’t a vote to shut down the government—they’re in charge and need your votes. But a vote FOR the Republican CR is a vote to allow Elon Musk to continue shutting down the government and nullifying the role of Congress.
