Not going through the door at that particular moment I can sort of understand. He wants to spend as much time with Helly R as he can before being erased - But I just don't get why they decided to go for a run after he decided that

I read that and I didn't think "oh that can't be right". I thought "Oh, they are getting to that point already". Only then did I notice it was the Onion. Had me for a solid 30 seconds on this one.

Canada is able to put up a fight in the trade war and despite rhetoric is not under any immediate threat of annexation UK/USA are so interlinked it is going to be hard to move out from being a US vassal state. It takes time and needs to be done as carefully as possible. Uk isn't an empire anymore

I don't see it being a good time to stand up right now. It isn't just Canada but also Ukraine that has to come into the equation. EU is also willing to fight back in the trade war, really Ukraine absolutely needs a country to have its back and the UK can't do that if it is also on the US enemy list.

I tend to agree. The season started off very strong and then spent a lot of the rest of the season regretting getting ahead of itself.

We should grind them up and consume them as medicine again like the good old days. Eventually we won't have any left and this will avoid this display dilemma so it's a win-win

Well he does also have a lot of reach on twitter so maybe that shields him. I don't think they care about polls anymore. They only care to keep the fanatics on their side and they are lapping up Musk right now, but maybe he is a good scapegoat when reality hits the fanatics.

If he loses enough public wealth then he will directly lose the only lever that Trump thinks Elon has on him. He'll toss Elon aside and blame Elon for the tanking stock market. In theory at that point Elon will be out and those contracts will be repurposed to the rich players still in the game.

I think Musk observes he cannot take on the government and Trump thinks he cannot take on the money and influence. They both think that they themselves are better and more powerful but ALSO that the other has some 'unfair' support that is making them more powerful.

I think the only reason they haven't had a blow out so far is because they both see the other person as more powerful.

Alright, but this means if one of the next two episodes gives you more enjoyment, then you have 8 episodes in joint last. I wouldn't risk it, who knows what is cooking in 9 and 10.

Hmm, which do you think was the weakest of the season then?
comment in response to post
In many ways the weakness of the episode for me comes in the context of the season. It's the third time we've ended an episode assuming we get to find the result of Mark reintegrating only to have the episode not follow on. This episode is also the second time in a row for that build up-redirect

You can still have a pretty good idea of what the episode was conveying and still not really find it a particularly strong entry. You can almost certainly skip that episode and still be able to follow the upcoming plot, which I think qualifies it as 'filler'.

In theory a silly name on a government organisation that wants to investigate and then cut waste is fine. The issue with DOGE is that it operates more like a street magician, distracting people with the impossible so that they don't notice their pocket being picked for the finale.

Josh is really fairly talented at exactly the skills that you want in a monologue. I don't know how comedians get their shot at SNL but he really would deserve to have a shot.

It's definitely not too much man power with AI. It won't be 'good' but it can definitely chew through it. They won't be copy pasting into a chat prompt for the AI, they'll use an API setup to bulk process it. It's basically a one man job + a bunch of money for compute time

Ok the situation has progressed to an advanced stage already, your prognosis is dire. Doomed to never fully concentrate on anything.

If this is how you are going to live then you might as well commit and get a second monitor. That's how you can really pack in many more distractions

It's fine, everytime you write something messed up you just leave it in and tell people that you put it in as a warning! Like "No you see its there to make you reflect on the fact some people might feel this way, against better judgement"

His dedication to his annual feedback is more unsettling than the premise of the entire show.

At this rate, I'm starting to think she is not a medical professional

We have poor language to describe AI as in many cases it is an array of different tools not one tool. The tools we have today will be different to the ones we have soon, they'll both get better and continue to have significant limitations. We'll use the useful stuff and ignore the useless.

It's an allegory about people coming to terms with their new existence in the afterlife and how they still have the same soul but not the memories! Or that's a lie I just made that up. You should watch it.

What do you expect. He had sex with her once and now she's acting like a completely different person.

Can't say I disagree. It still has its moments but it has steered away from the most compelling narrative it had going. I think a lot of exhibition dialogue is often weak too which is similar to many other superhero shows

Would be brutal if they accidentally uploaded the last episode to midway through the season and spoilt it for everyone. Fortunately not the case 😄

If this was being promised then they would all get a federal pardon from the outgoing president and never see a day in prison. The Americans need big government reform after this, if they can make it there.

Have you tried writing one sentence and immediately being inspired to create a wholly new unrelated project? When this happens immediately slap yourself and repeat until you now fear leaving it incomplete!

My rule is that if the game has any links to EA then it has to get absolutely exceptional reviews for me to get it. The EA brand for me is associated with performative marketing and disappointing experiences. It has released nothing to dissuade me from this stance either.
