Got a tough one, y'all...
If you could only play ONE video game genre for the rest of your life, which genre would it be?

And were gonna ignore that I mostly play open world/survivals and just live my dream life 🤣
With the amount of minigames in some of them they might as well be multi genre ^^
But the fun part about that is people will argue to the death about what is/isn't an RPG so it's actually one of the broadest genres to choose from.
100%
Seriously that's all I ever play anyways lol
Uh. Survival horror.
Because I don’t want to miss out on Resident Evil games.
There be a lot of great games I'd miss out on but I could happily game for the rest of my life playing only those types of games.
Any type of game that has an experience/leveling system.
:3 already the main type of games I play.
Now I can play all the genres again!
I've been extremely obsessed with them lately, and the genre itself has a lot of overlap, so I wouldn't be bored for a good long while.
I'm happy for you
Retro.
Boom baybee!
Specifically tactics based ones.
Teenager me says hack n Slash
Adult me says action RPG
Platformer: Neon Abyss
Dungeon Crawler: RAD
Survival Horror: Prey DLC
Metroidvania: Rogue Legacy
Squad Based: Darkest Dungeon
Card Based: Insane Robots
...soo yeah Roguelike is my jam
I’ve laughed and jumped so hard since playing horror that I don’t think I’d go back to other genres as much as I do horror rn
Followed by EA Big. Rofl
It’s a large enough genre for variety and helps keep the synapses firing.
Like Stardew Valley, Moonstone Island, Luma Island, Rune Factory 3/4/5, Everholm, Fae Farm, Harvestella, etc
RPGs would be a VERY close second. Like, a 0.1% difference
We...we're still saying that right?
RIGHT?!
I quit playing MOBA (for a while) though
But for real it would be JRPG’s
Lots of variety even under that banner
Way to much bang for your buck to not take it. 5 Breath of Fires, 4 Phantasy Stars, 16 FF, 2 Lunars, 4 Suikodens, an army of Dragon Quests/Warriors, and a ton more.
