As it contravenes the Apple Store's terms for safe social media, meaning it could potentially be banned from the store, it might have delayed the decision to go ahead with it.
Incidentally one of only three people who ever blocked me (that I know of). I pointed out that the crowdfunder for Noah Carl he'd promoted (Cam postdoc sacked for far-right ties) was run by the same people as crowdfunders for Laura Loomer, Gavin McInnes etc. Varsity & Cherwell confirmed the story.
Just checked again and I can see Matt Goodwin's tweets now, there's just a note below the pinned tweet saying that I'm blocked and can't interact. So looks like it's definitely live now!
I earned my Galloway block the hard way: looking up what he said about rape and posting it in the comments of a fearmongering dogwhistle about trans women all being sexual predators.
Not necessarily proud but I got talking to a lady and she said she was in Antartica. "Oh, bit of the old seal clubbing is it?" I said. She called me a cunt and as far as I know, my first block
I think that was the first year he blocked me (due to me retweeting his posts about the French election), then he unblocked me, then blocked me again on January 6, 2021.
for me john redwood ----delightful --blocked me on all his social media for describing his conduct towards his ex wife.
Clearly not his proudest moment!!!
Dinesh D'Souza for bringing up his wife beating and Scott Adams for saying he's the most divorced man on Twitter (hardly a novel observation, but one that seems to really grate on him).
Maybe Ministry of Otaku. It's not so much that I'm proud of being blocked by him, as I hadn't heard of him at the time, but he blocked me over two years ago and I'm still, as recently as a couple of days ago, getting likes on my post that ratio'd him.
Delighted to have been blocked by Julia Hartley-Brewer, it was actually quite nice of her to save me from any more of her toxic Bile
Most annoyed to be blocked by Lord Frost, whose every tweet is further proof that he is without doubt THE most Stupid person in our Nation's History; and I miss that.
Jeremy Roenick, former NHL player and joke of a studio talking head. The funny thing about it was I never @‘d him, which means he was searching his own name and blocking people for talking shit about him.
RS Archer. Basically he must have been searching his name and saw me telling someone that his threads were good fiction and didn't actually happen, which I thought was accepted.
Maybe, I have heard of others who were blocked. Or maybe he blocked follow lists? No idea. Others doing similar don't block. Someone like Secret Tory owned it to great success, and others who threads stretched credibility like Irish Monk just liked being talked about. RS was very thin skinned.
He blocked me too, although I never interacted with him. I think I'm on some list of people who aren't transphobes, in which case it's a badge I'm proud to wear.
I don't know of any blocks, but I did get a like from Elon on a tweet because he was too stupid to realize I was making fun of him and his monkey-killing brain chips.
Very proud to have blocked by a number of terrible people, but the best was Guido, who I was blocked by after expressing the opinion that it wasn't on to create a photo montage of the cleavages of female protesters at some march or other
I’m childishly pleased that after Tony Yates claimed that Corbyn would get less than five per cent in Islington North and I said that this was so wrong it was really hard to explain why beyond “no, come off it”, he reacted to Corbyn winning it by blocking me there *and here*.
Stats for Lefties blocked me when I pointed out that they had misunderstood the word ‘mortality’ and the evidence they were citing meant that competition in the NHS ‘reduced’ deaths.
It made me sad at first but, I have to admit, with time it has become funnier and funnier to me, partly because it didn’t even register to me as a fight until well, the hammer came down on 4 July: https://x.com/stephenkb/status/1794331247411622129
Changing composition of support within the Labour party would be mirrored by changing support among Labour voters. (Yeah, I don’t get how he could have thought that either frankly.)
Yeah, as I said at the time, it’s one of those things that is SO wrong that it is just hard to say much beyond “every single assumption you have made here is irrelevant or wrong”.
The cricketer Graeme Swann. He didn’t seem to like me suggesting that him “retiring” mid Ashes tour (because he was about to be dropped from the XI for bowling pies) was weak.
I think It was because I pointed out that he spends most of his time writing restaurant reviews in the Observer and then, every few years, they commission him to write a massive article about how he has lost weight before he then puts it all back on again
Maybe not proudest, definitely funniest. I told him his chin looks like a vulva, a nice pair of fat lips. The fact that he blocked a small account like mine, is funny. Big macho my ass.
Rob Schneider. Especially because he blocked me before I ever mentioned him on the site or interacted with him in any way. And fair enough, I totally would have made fun of him if I’d thought about him.
I joined in a very childish hashtag (#AskGeorgeGalloway) and posed the baboon/badger question, and he blocked me. Always been delighted it was for something so silly
All great replies, I think Hannan for me, he seems quite chippy TBF - an alternative q is ppl who blocked you & really don't know why - I assume caught in a trawled block net
Mine the climate Scientist Michael Mann - really don't know why as I had liked his posts etc
That one account that retweeted the orange asshole’s truth social posts. If Harris would have won I might game gotten the screen shot framed, I was so proud
Leo Donofrio, for showing he was promoting a false view of the law around some maneuver of Jack Smith's--and I'm only proud of this because he's a lawyer and I'm not.
Didn't get many high profile blocks, but Raab blocked me for calling him a charlatan (with incontrovertible evidence).
My war story is that Arron Banks became my mutual when I finally followed him back. He only follows a few hundred people, and seemed to like my posts. I've never quite understood.
Oh I remember having a fun exchange with Banks over an AI-based constituency poll of one of the Stoke constituencies - it turned out that I was right and the poll was not.
Can't remember, I blocked so many!
I blocked accounts towards the end just to stop them being recommended by Twitters algorythm.
I also blocked advertisers.
I did whatever was required so I saw the content I wanted to see and not what Musk/Twitter wanted.
Recency bias at play here but Emil Pagliarulo, for talking about how terribly written his last game was, then tagging him in a follow up 'it's you, you're the problem, it's you'.
I'm not proud of the hours of work I put into bringing all the receipts to his "there is no such thing as global warming BS" but he pretends to be an engineer so...?
I also got blocked by one-album wonder Vinnie James, who's a massive tRumper (last I looked). I pointed out the hypocrisy of calling someone out (me) as being immature when he supports a 70-something man-child.
Please tell me you’ve made plans to have that read at your eulogy. I hope it’s 100 years from now but when it finally happens, that’s a hell of a thing for people to know about you. well done sir.
Don't know if "proudest" but I'm a bit startled that
@jamellebouie.net blocked me more or less on day one for saying - not in those words - that Thomas Friedman was a w**k*r (a judgement I stand by).
Also on about a 1000 lists as a TERF (this post will get me on more), but that's bsky.
While half of Twitter have been blocked by Andrew Doyle, he specifically blocked me for doing a 10 tweet critique of his comedy, including naming the people he had plagarised the "Titania McGrath" concept from.
Comments
he blocked me… and I him. scott baio and travis tritt also have thin skins.
Or BBC Test Match Special. For taking the mick out of badly worded post. Sensitive souls.
Larry the Cable Guy
During the pandemic I happened to share some basic high school level science contradicting one of his posts.
I know it’s a low bar to be smarter than Larry, but it made me laugh
Clearly not his proudest moment!!!
Most annoyed to be blocked by Lord Frost, whose every tweet is further proof that he is without doubt THE most Stupid person in our Nation's History; and I miss that.

Also got blocked by MC Hammer, but I don’t know why.
Lord Moylan
Harry Cole
Dan hodges

#niceworkifyoucangetit
But not THAT stronk...
The one I’m most curious about though is an account that posts nothing but Tolstoy quotations.
What could I possibly have done to piss them off?
Like…. not mad. Genuinely curious.
Fair enough.
Toes for fingers or fingers for toes was my go to
Mine the climate Scientist Michael Mann - really don't know why as I had liked his posts etc
Thrn there was Karol Sikora, but I've forgotten who he was.
& michael tracey.
both real easy.
for ritter just post his sex offender page, for tracey just post him squealing like a piggy when he got arrested
My war story is that Arron Banks became my mutual when I finally followed him back. He only follows a few hundred people, and seemed to like my posts. I've never quite understood.
Everyone must have a favourite. 😁
And they still owe me £150 from failing to cancel my subscription, which I really should get round to resolving

Block.
I'm not proud of the hours of work I put into bringing all the receipts to his "there is no such thing as global warming BS" but he pretends to be an engineer so...?
I called her a traitor and a fraud.
Because she is.
@jamellebouie.net blocked me more or less on day one for saying - not in those words - that Thomas Friedman was a w**k*r (a judgement I stand by).
Also on about a 1000 lists as a TERF (this post will get me on more), but that's bsky.
I still don’t even know why.
