Ag, I see. I thought he was a lap down because that’s an unhinged thing for the leader to do. Solid DQ ruling

I love how every Republican president in the past 30 years has started a war in the Middle East for no reason

Imagine voting to ban the single most electric play in sports

Yup! But the last time that penalty was called was 1991 because officials determined that it’s nearly impossible to officiate that rule properly, so in 2005 the decided to get rid of the rule since it was inconsequential to the game!

Just wait until touchdowns start getting called back on it
comment in response to

I don’t completely disagree. However, the reason why they got rid of the rule is it’s extremely difficult to call on the field, so the implementation is going to be a disaster trying to figure out if the lineman who pushes is pushing the defender of the ball carrier

Nah, only the soft team proposes a rule without any good reason for this
comment in response to
post
I don’t think the eagles are proposing that rule to stop one teams play, so your argument makes absolutely no sense
comment in response to
post
But where are the reasons for the change the ? There’s no injury concerns, no pace of play concerns, so if it’s just aesthetics then it’s just because he didn’t like how it looked while the eagles beat them and he’s too soft to figure out how to stop it
comment in response to
post
At least that rule change has legit reasons behind it. The packers claim injuries and pace of play with zero data behind it.
comment in response to
post
If the eagles and packers handed played last year, especially in the playoffs, the packers would not have brought the rule change up
comment in response to
post
And it’s not hard to process that it’s extremely soft to even bring it to a vote

Optics is bs since its way too subjective. So if one team feels like the forward pass is bad optics, we should ban it? Nah, it’s all because one team is really good at it and they won the Super Bowl
comment in response to
post
Okay? But that’s always been the rule, but are you saying that the only reason to ban the play is because other teams can’t stay on sides? How does that make any sense?
comment in response to
post
I don’t know what you’re talking about then, you said they don’t want what happened in the nfc championship to happen again, luvu kept jumping offsides, why would you ban a play because luvu kept jumping offsides?
comment in response to
post
Should we be making hard counts illegal then too?!?!?
comment in response to
post
So if I don’t like a play I should just keep jumping off sides and the league ban it?
comment in response to
post
Well they have yet to come up with a good reason to ban it, so it’s clearly bitterness since the league data shows it’s not an injury concern and the pace of play is not effected
comment in response to
post
Oh he will manage it, but I’ve never seen an organization so soft as to try to pass a rule to stop one team from running a play that legally whipped their ass twice with in one season.
comment in response to
post
And what does this have to do with that? If you’re going to say it’s because the rule was in place, that’s only half true, it was never really enforced, so really the rule had no bearing on the game, Bart Starr used to use a qb sneak while being pushed a lot too
