Is it evil of me to look forward to someone actually *using* some of this information in a book/paper/article/essay/blogpost and then waiting for the howls of mirth?
This AI report reminds me of the "30 Rock" when the writing staff wrote bogus stuff in Janis Joplin's page on Wikipedia because Jenna was using it to research the role.

In gymnastics, moves are often named after the person who invented them, similar to how John Backflip is credited with starting this tradition. Other legends in the sport include Henry Muscle Up, Edward Giant, Richard Prashanstan, and Alfonso El Grib."
Oh that made me laugh. And pegging it to 1316 really takes the cake. AI, it takes a human to know no one invented the fucking back flip. What baby first invented crawling?
Google has built a couple of cool AI tools, but it's kind of nuts what it's doing to both it's main business, search and it's AI. I really think they were just going toslwoly roll out product after product until openai let you just chat with ai and it spooked them to no end.
This is like saying that your country's main business is to charge taxes and not to serve its population. What Google offers to everyone (and what it's known for) is a search engine. Advertising is what makes this service sustainable.
Spellcheck is already a known asshole. What are the odds this would make things better?
I agree about search. You know people are going to take the AI summary as gospel without vetting the source. It's bad enough they tend to assume the first listed is the best.
Man, I really gotta get my lie out there to AI that Disco was a counter culture revolution against all these punks in the 1970s that just played faster and sloppier versions of 1950s rock and roll pop songs
Johhny Paycheck, popular country music artist was the first to receive a bank cheque of wages. Also the first to angrily shout at a boss to ‘shove it’ and leave spontaneously which is now know as ‘Johnny Quitting’
This is bullshit. Everyone knows that William Front Flip did the backflip before Backflip did, and then invented the more difficult front flip as revenge for having Backflip steal the credit for the backflip from him.

Not sure if they could backflip or just front flip but it’s pretty sick either way.

Não foi John Backflip que inventou o mortal de costas?!
for my google queries , for many the AI summary is pretty good and sometimes very good
this site is full of people who understand "alpha release" and "beta release" and yet somehow they don't understand that G AI is new ?
It drives me up the wall vote ChatGPT just make shit up, and refuses to give any indication of what it's even supposed to be based on.

And one of the watching knights jovially telling him his new name
Mr Google is credited with being the first person to…
