Look I’m sorry, some of the masculinity discourse about masculinity is way too precious. You care about how men ~16-40 are relating to society because young men are the killing people demographic and it matter who and what they are potentially willing to kill for. Deserve’s got nothing to do with it

If anything, that trajectory shows that we need to deradicalize men *more* actively, because even being heir to a billionaire's fortune doesn't keep men from planning and committing radical violence.
Western societies displacing unequal trad social systems, that weren't generally beneficial or reliably effective are struggling to do this.
They hide in silos where they get to talk down at strawmen of bros they resent and pretend they're beating back the problem.
Which gives away that these people live in a movie universe in their heads, where you "vanquish" a group from power rather than leave them adrift for opportunists to capture.
At the same time, it's electorally shit to not focus on half of a population.
And there's few social incentives for men to speak out. If they succeed it's what they were "supposed" to do. If they do it using "problematic" language it's not even deemed a success.
It doesn't matter whether women/POC whomever are absolved of responsibility for doing this, the goal is to have net fewer boys who think like this.
I’ve never run into that offline though.
but they'll still need to talk about it, and some of that conversation will occur in public and even On Here
the "God why are we talking about this AGAIN?" posters should possibly just accept the existence of discussions that aren't about their causes and keep scrolling
Large numbers of unhappy young men is just overall bad. The access to guns makes it *worse* but it doesn’t go away.
Female mass shooters are very rare.
