I thought about this for a few seconds and thought, if any job could be done by an AI, a top executive class job would be it.
Then I thought for a few more seconds and realized that it wouldn't even require the use of AI. Just about any of their jobs could be handled by simple algorithms.
That’s a really good point. AI would need training and CEOs are really not expected to think or problem solve. A set of algorithms would cover everything, similar to the scripts overseas tech support infuriates us with.
A couple of weeks ago I called a customer support number for a relatively simple transaction, and it was definitely an AI. It was really good at it's job, "understood" me and gave relevant replies and did what I needed better and faster than most people would, even native English speakers.
"Congratulations on your recent promotion to CEO but to maintain our current level of service, we are compelled to increase premiums for all of our life insurance and accidental death or injury policies for all individuals who attain C class status. Congratulations again."
Health insurers are going to kill more people now as they cut and deny more coverage due to the added cost of security to protect the health of their executives.
And why is it *exactly* that they need protecting?
Does it have anything to do with the fact that they are specifically profiteering off of human pain, suffering, and misery for the sole purpose of extracting and hoarding as many resources as possible from the people they belong to?
Maybe?
following "brought renewed attention to" with costs of protecting executives rather than costs of privatised healthcare is comedy style bait-and-switch
I guess just another State Sponsored Media outlet. Sigh. Guess the companies will have to move on up to denying 1 out of every 2 claims in order to pay for the increased security as to not cut into their profits to shareholders.
Is this across the board? Or just “certain “ ceos who are feeling the fear for once? I mean, does the Mattel ceo need a squad? Or just those with blood on their hands?
We MUST protect the CEOs who deny us life saving care and who celebrate our misery in conference calls! They should absolutely raise their premiums and refuse to cover even MORE procedures! In fact, we little people should VOLUNTEER to put our lives on the line for these saviors of society! 😒🙄
I have a feeling that the people making millions of dollars a year can probably afford it. There is no way someone can actually think this who isn't also a multi-millionaire.
This is satire, right?
Seriously, I can no longer tell the difference.
Living in the Bizarro World for so long has taken it's toll on that part of my brain.
It's more profound than the offloading of my navigational skills to the ubiquity of GPS.
Why do I feel like the only result from this will be that rich people will be allowed to write of their security on their taxes? Seems like the logical conclusion our elected leaders will make.
The rich have spent years using their wealth as a shield to allow their bad behavior. I think they could use a little reality check. They are not better because they are rich. I look forward to the panic they have when they see this guy walk cause no jury can agree to convict.
and deep, deep sincerity.
it's like the platonic ideal of middle manager was from its womb untimely rip't and guts spread out to form the framework of that hell.
Being an unemployed has never been so easy! A whole website just to tell you that you're bad for being unemployed and it's super unreliable for employing you. The American dream at its finest
It is like Tinder with jobs. I published mine again and within 5 minutes had someone hitting on me. Bro didn't even try to catfish me with a fake job first, like a gentleman.
I hear the hottest private security companies right now are the ones that aren’t real and just harvest billionaire info to quietly dox to the world’s Luigis.

Eliminate all the corpos and security costs will go to zero :)))

People can't afford to eat or get medical care, but the ruling class wants us to care about how expensive personal bodyguards are.
Someone do it again until they figure it out
Minion: How about security for our convenience stores?

...It's the question, and the answer is sometimes yes
Decisions are hard.
Oh wait, nevermind, I went off script, it's profits over people not the other way around.
Oh, I forgot. We don’t do that.
but alas
only endangered 😐
You'll see what's up.
