Every lede like this is a fundamental journalistic failure.

False equivalency.

These are NOT ledes or the basis of stories. They are lies spread by bad people looking to push BS out into the world to achieve their destructive goals.
Any media source that reports like this is a failure.
Vast majority of Western mainstream press has excused or ignored this, and rest have politely deplored it.
There's no anger.
Now imagine 246 Ukrainian media staff would've been killed.
But that doesn't matter, because criticism of Israel = antisemitism has been established by the press & the politicians as 'a fact'.
And that erases the Jewish identity of Jewish student protestors for the press.

Education isn’t meant to be self-funded, it’s a public good.
Independence of truth & education depends on liberal democracy, which is currently on hiatus b/c we’ve got fascists running the country.
It sucks that we have to treat the public like babies, but the alternative is they learn nothing.
Their whole thing since the paper became a cordyceps-controlled husk is to give the regime's message primacy.
