That seems reversed. It has to be cooler when sleeping. I'm okay sweating during the day, and my house mostly is in the 80s during the day, but for sleep my bedroom is cool, like 70ish. But, also for modern houses with good insulation, it's more efficient to cool it down at night.

Though it would take about ten years to pay back. after better than expected production and electric prices going up it only took about 6 years.

Around 2010 the weather in my city in summer changed enough that having a too hot to sleep night wasn't a thing that happened two or three times a summer, but could occur for a week or more at a time, multiple times. It still took me a few years to get AC since I didn't realize it was permanent :(

I might be overdoing it with the temp checks, but my first child was born in the fall and couldn’t regulate well (spent a week in the incubator), and with my summer newborn right now, I am constantly adjusting his swaddles, socks, outfits, etc. to make sure he’s not too warm.
