WTH? Absolutely nuts. While far from perfect WaPo has been a model of local reporting, & daily reminder of what my own city had (I still sub local): reliable source of reporting and informed opinion so I know what's going on in my community.

This sucks hard. WaPo has been my go-to national paper and my other hometown paper along with the Boston Globe. Local coverage was great for anyone who was a federal employee, no matter where-- labor & work& office politics issues we can't find elsewhere.
