Something amazing happened to me yesterday. I went to a free concert at a local church - The Gustav Holst Ensemble - & half way through the second piece - Brahms Piano Quartet no. 3 - I noticed that tears were streaming down my face. A moment of absolute beauty. Never known anything like it.

I went to see Riverdance in London back in the 90s and by the time the interval came around I was a wreck. It was wonderful music that had wrapped its way around my soul and hugged me tight.

If done with skill and passion it hits deep
I’ve recently started attending an amateur jazz workshop. It’s as good as therapy. Better in fact.
Had there been no year 2 recorder lessons in 1992. I wouldn’t have this.
Music makes you feel a feeling.
A song makes you feel a thought.

And relatable.
I can often be found like that, in the moment.

You should listen to Thin Lizzy!!!
There are certain pieces which invoke such irrational and overwhelming responses for me - some positive like Schubert's Trout Quintet, others very negative (nameless for now), across a wide range of genres.

Glad you got to feel that moment, though. A good weekend. 🥰
It will be amazing and moving I’m sure. There may well be tears!
Then your state of mind is feeling the emotional burden and became happiness:!....
is in Vespers 1610.
The Bach piece for guaranteed waterworks (for me) is D minor Chaconne for unaccompanied violin.

And to think, some people in the world simply get that from becoming even wealthier or making vulnerable people suffer miserably.
You can thank me later.
