I’ve been trying to make it through Alien Clay, but keep having to put it down - the politics are too close to reality. I think I have to skip those passages to be able to finish it, and I want to :) it reminds me of how I felt reading Sheri S Tepper in days of yore, -those books on my reread list.
goddamned depressing. One of my apt neighbours (we’re in Berlin) is from Poland. She’s a little older than me and grew up under communism. Her take is that we’ve been lucky to have experienced this small window of relative freedom. I’m not so sanguine, I’m mad as hell about the stupidity of it all.
And don’t even get me started on climate change, a rant on how unbelievably stupid and greedy we are, guaranteed to make my young adult kids cringe, will immediately ensue.. 🖖 ps: thank you for your books
