A prominent one tried to drag me on Twitter, saying I was only defending trans rights because I wanted to be “on the Right Side of History.” (Sneering caps in the original.)
Nope, just didn’t want to be a flaming asshole to a marginalized group. It’s not hard! You should try it!

Over the past month, I've had several posts mocking me for daring to say that I think transphobia and sexism are bad.
And all of them had this framing -- that the only possible reason anyone could be against bigotry was that they wanted to impress other people.
Basic decency just baffles them.

Way to human!
Would that everyone was as evolved
I don’t understand where the insult is in that statement.
We should all endeavor to be on the right side of history.
They think kindness is weakness.
Chances are they either believe that A) they or people who agree with them will be the ones writing history, or B) Jesus will come back and rapture them up to Heaven.
I am thinking if Peter Baker right now
🤦🏻♂️
Imagine someone saying "You're only voting for Lincoln and the anti-slavery party to be on the right side of history."
I am big enough to admit that I have resented people who are much better than me at accepting others as they are. I am also big enough to know I should use them as role models, and my surprise at their acceptance is a failure on my part.
In other words, they are the collective anti-Christ cloaked in a false Bible and wrapped around a nugget of fear and loathing.
what sorcery, etc.
If they were deep thinking, they would realize they are the bad guys.
The amount of damage the right has had done to them is so sad.
People care about other people.
I’m curious because I don’t know any.
"Omg, look at this person being respectful of others and not being an asshole, like seriously?"
...I have no other voice for this person other than some Hollywood valley girl stereotype because that's the only way it can make sense to my brain.
