If you have the AUDACITY to play video games on "easy" or "story" mode...
I want you to know that I think that's a perfectly acceptable way to enjoy a video game that you paid for because you're supposed to enjoy your favorite pastime any way you like.
Real life's hard enough. Enjoy your hobby.👍

Bluesky is awesome, y'all.💙
Honestly, I'm a guy who leans towards the normal-hard difficulties in most games I pick up, but it actually makes me *quite* happy to see that easy-mode enjoyers are being treated well here.
This dudebro was INSISTING difficulty settings were only created in the last few years. Because: ignorant wanker.
That game had an easy setting created for North American Kids because Capcom thought it would be too hard for us north americans
Suck it, gamers! 😁
I want to try the harder modes in games (also try out Soulslikes), but only when I don't feel stressed out from life.
Dudes that gatekeep game difficulty/modes definitely didn't get enough hugs growing up, and it shows.
Playing a lot of Space Marine 2 at the moment because the PVP is fun, and the co-op mode means you can be dragged along for the ride by good players.
Easy mode is definitely the way to go sometimes. Particularly (for me) in long story games
Yup, if you play on easy. I gotta respect that! Your time on this planet is more precious than anything else so enjoy it how you want
if you have more fun using a character's flip jumps than using all of their moveset, that's okay! if you need to use a potions before a boss, that's cool!
Easy mode for me please. 😭
"Don't you DARE ask for an easy mode... but it's okay to go on reddit and ask people to jump in and kill all the bosses for you."
good times
I am now enjoying God of War.
Since then I play on whatever difficulty is the best balance of fun and challenge and I replay games if they were fun first time
However conveying the developer's intent is just important imo, Celeste for example sets out to test you, and it tells you that when you enable assist mode.
I love the games that let you tweak everything, and im turning down any bullet sponge type nonsense immediately
Though, I gotta sympathize for wanting to just get through your backlog bc I swear games just keep getting longer.

BUT sometimes it's just fun to be a bad-ass for the whole game. Maybe it's an age thing 🤷♂️🤣
Like... I can't have easy and hard achievements?? Wtf devs!
Is that it's hell and a half on easy mode, and I tripple dog DARE you to beat it once it drops
Then there's Sekiro, charmless bell demon for me!
This is why my sliders are all turned to easy mode and I rack up thousands of yards rushing and passing in football games. I don’t want it to be hard—I’ve got kids
Happened a fair bit on Starfield in the space battles.
If I drop down.. I’ll never play again! I wish there was a way to make it normal, just a game, again.. 😂
I just want to make life easier in the game. For example in Stardew, I can't live without a mod for walking faster and stopping the time
if I find out a game can have mods, I find a way to play with mods
Hence no rogue-like games on my play list… 😅
Most recently, Pokemon Arceus. I can't finish the final boss, so I can't complete the pokedex.
Then there’s games like helldivers 2 where I put the difficulty to max and struggle fight the entire way through. It’s worth the struggle for the laughs for me in that one xD
That, or i'm some sort of masochist...
I play to have fun. I won't apologise for it 😊😊
