No, Democrats, these little auction signs aren't it. You're acting like Wes Anderson characters who don't understand that they're in a Tarantino movie.

Or get “escorted out,” one at a time, for loudly protesting.
- It would have owned the news cycle, and disrupted Donnie’s carefully constructed flow to in getting Trump’s minions to worship his ego.
I think of the 2nd trump administration as if the third reich invaded the US. the democrats serving as vichey collaborators. These very old& extremely wealthy politicians have no stake in anyone or anything but themselves. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Always.
That’s a pretty vile comment that only a man could leave. Quite the non sequitur too. You’re using an emotive false equivalence throwing spousal abuse into the ring to make an irrelevant point, only to miss the moral high ground by a very long way. *whomp whomp
It's a clearheaded view of the fact that we've been trained to assign no blame to the Republicans ever and all blame to Democrats always similar to the methods beaten into us by patriarchy to do the same to women.
A *lot* of this can be explained by viewing the Dems as women-coded.
The party whose lawyers argued that the Democratic National Committee would be well within their rights to “go into back rooms like they used to and smoke cigars and pick the candidate that way.”
That the words “impartial” and “evenhanded” can’t be interpreted by a court of law.
Riiiiight. It’s the voters fault—despite the fact I voted for your milquetoast ass candidate.
It’s never the establishments fault. You’ll blame LGTBQ, trans, progressives, leftists and everything in between before you recognize that the corporate party chose a poor candidate.
The thing is, they’re not actually that smart. At least not in a way that matters for the position they’re in. Incapable of understanding the position they’re in, and therefore unable to even formulate a strategy or even an end goal.
No. Many of us recognized what a joke it all was and tacked hard left. Hell, most of the people who went with me were already communists by the time we left high school.
You know who the Dems should consult about how to rise to the moment? Some of the OG Act Up organizers and demonstrators. They knew shit was dead serious and they acted effectively and accordingly. Learn to be #relentless
Everyone loves to name drop MLK like they are in his league, but they conveniently forget that a lot of the civil rights movement was people in cozy blue states driving to Klan dominated red states to risk their lives registering black people to vote.
I suspect anything the Dems do wouldn't satisfy you and many others here. It's as if you all are looking for some magic word to make all this disappear.
Time to let that shit go and go after the people who are destroying our country.
On the case. Been on it 30 years. That’s literally my job. And when I write a book or an article & someone thinks it misses the mark, I don’t tell them that’s just because there’s no book that would satisfy them.
Jeff I've read your books, this constantly bashing Dems for not doing what YOU want to do is not productive. You're feeding the Republican negative narrative about the Democrats. If anyone should know this, it should be you.
You're making those of who volunteer, work harder to do.
Thanks for reading, Pamela. I wouldn’t say I “constantly bash Dems,” but if you’ve read my books you know I see my job as presenting what I understand to be my best analysis—not biting my tongue. As a writer, my faith is in more conversation, not less.
Came here to say pretty much the same kind of thing as Pamela. Not every D is in a safe seat and can react the same way. I just don’t understand why someone like you, who is well aware of theocratic authoritarianism’s dangers would be damaging Ds reputations.
Schumer and Jeffries, however, are safe and can afford a much savvier response to what’s actually happening. My belief as a writer is that it’s my job to describe things as I understand them, that doing so is our best bet, that party line got us here.
Honestly, yeah. There's a Wes Anderson's character that dies punching armed fascists and successfully protecting a refugee. That analogy is far too generous to Dems.
It makes me wonder if they want this. This level of inaction is absurd. Let’s not forget, they will benefit from the tax breaks because I don’t know a paycheck-to-paycheck congress person.
Okay cool Medicaid shouldn’t be cancelled. But what about the billions going to fake programs all over the world because some politician has a hand in it and making k money
I'm also tired of the people defending this stuff in the comments. I can't imagine living one's life where the bare minimum of fighting back is somehow too much for them. That must be a sad existence, honestly.
Anderson characters are quirky and self consciously awkward. That’s not Dems. Dems are Coleman Francis characters: grey, ineffective, and boring as dirt.
We need Democratic leaders who understand they may have to pick up a gun in order to save our democracy. None of them have it in them including the AOCs
I see no real Dem leader potential but communicator Buttigieg.
The rest are blusterers. & DNC should be all about fielding NOW a viable 2025 candidate in each District, not mere Hogg tweeting
Well said! They should have walked out en mass but they follow tradition as their entire way of life and constitution are being torn apart in front of their eyes. This is why America is a going to become a failed state. So many lies, they are all lost in a snow storm.

Sick resistance.
What do you think this corporatist party is ever going to achieve for you?
They run the most establishment candidate during a time where the populace wants radical change and you blame the people, not your representatives?
It’s never the establishments fault. You’ll blame LGTBQ, trans, progressives, leftists and everything in between before you recognize that the corporate party chose a poor candidate.
Source: I used to be one.
Which is very pathetic.
Several minutes of woodchipper
None of you colonizers have fussed at repubs or showed up at their houses, neighborhoods, jobs, etc...
Yet you're harrasing the party of BIPOC, women, & LGBTQ, expecting them to go out & fight when ⚪ 🇺🇸 voted for this shit.
GTFOH 🙄 go get your people in them streets.
No such risk waiving a ‘f Elon’ sign in NYC
Our Dems aren't even on the same planet as on we are in called reality.
*Shotgun
Musk/Trump: destroy everything with full support of all branches of government.
Americans: why won't the Democrats do something?!?!?!
Meaning people voted them in to office?
Like, that’s how they got there?
Time to let that shit go and go after the people who are destroying our country.
We're wasting time we don't have.
You're making those of who volunteer, work harder to do.
Drown out their bullshit with the sheer power of the UNCEASING HONK.

They should be the size of a lollypop.
