If we fail, it goes over to the Senate. If the House went through the full committee process, the Senate can slap on a full substitute and go straight to the floor.
The Senate will then move to proceed to the bill. This is filibuster-proof.
This is the next place where we can stop them.

other bills?
This is the next place to stop them, and it's where we finally stopped them on ACA repeal.
My GOP representative is not having town halls and neither he nor one of my senators will even permit a voicemail when I call. I’m still doing it religiously but it’s very telling.
Robert Bresnahan (NY).
God be with us in fighting this cruelty.
(Please excuse my weird Bluesky avatar.)
And we don't know how people will react to these ridiculous tax cuts.
If only protesting local member offices did anything.

They need the support and numbers of calls etc to point to.
Also look into one of the orgs doing phone banking or post cards to voters in other states.

We don't have a John McCain in the Republican Party anymore.
🤜 @bbkogan.bsky.social 🤛
Rights and firing leadership across the board effectively kills programs and people - tell me I’m wrong please. Zero on any of this in local papers today in Pittsburgh. No info = no fight!
The question still remains how to apply pressure on Republicans in both the House & Senate by petitioning to recall or flip seats in special elections.
What tends to be the most effective way-/ protesting in their home states or DC?
Exposing questionable relations?
We can fight all we want in Congress, but unless we change the mindset of Republican voters, it is futile.
The Idaho meeting where the lady was zip tied, that was not a town hall but a Rep meeting. So they can kick her/any out legally.
Reps are limiting town halls to prevent public outcry.
But it’s not unprecedented and according to @ezralevin.bsky.social from indivisible, we can change our tactics.

Heroes like @indivisible.org helped organize last time. People drove for hours to spend just a few minutes talking to their members. But we saved lives because of it.
This is what I heard today.
The GOP will not be doing any more town halls!

Not for safety ( though 🙄) but bc I want to see her burst into flames in real time.
Whitebread Dem in a CA district where he won 70%
He feels no danger, no urgency
Who better positioned to make noise, a Dem with almost no risk of losing a seat?
He and my 2 Senators just fecking around
Tell them why it matters to you. *Make them* hear WHY Medicaid matters to you. That is how we convinced Murkowski, Collins, and McCain to vote no.
We owe it to our family members who rely on Medicaid and SNAP. We owe it to our friends. We owe it to our neighbors. We owe it to the people we'll never meet.
He was too cowardly to be there. I had to talk to an intern.
i think he has no more phxcks to give
but no doubt he’s got constituents on medicaid and snap
"Look what they might do" is a loser political message compared to "look what they did". That's why the GOP wins, again and again.
All the Dem harm prevention of 2017-2020 made the median voter think that Trump was a great president who wrote them all checks.
B) What they are breaking took generations to build, and cannot be easily replaced or repaired, even in a functional gov. I think we'd all agree we haven't had that for decades.
I’m not being sarcastic.
I called&emailed my rep so much he made an email detailing how he an R does not support Trump
It’s grim, but not lost yet.
We all gotta hold each other up sometimes.
