Kevin Hassett’s COVID model, which he was in no way qualified to create, predicted that American COVID deaths would be at ~zero by May 2020

Kevin Hassett on Trump's avian flu plan: "What we need to do is have better ways w/ bio-security & medication & so on to make sure that the perimeter doesn't have to kill the chickens. To have a better, smarter, perimeter...they're killing chickens to stop the spread, but chickens don't really fly"

Trouble girl
The White House loved it.
Don't dump this nut job on us! 😂
Just the expert I want on the TV to talk about infectious diseases.
Next weekend it will be Art Laffer.
I remember it well, his amazing predictive powers were rewarded with even bigger positions at right wing think tanks like AEI and a clue into their “scholarship”.
He’s the poster boy for failing up.
Good thing they are the only birds in north america. No flight happening here.
Canada has sm farms so when need to be killed due to this there is less impact
🍁have always paid more for eggs due to that
If this isn't sorted out asap then can expect all chickens in danger j/s
What is government by morons called again?
you simply isolate them and nurse them back to health, however long it takes, with antivirals, IV drips, and mini-respirators overseen by a dedicated team of avian health care professionals
Like Michael Osterholm:

You would also need better screening for new chickens entering these flocks.
And, in a way it reminds me of the masking protocols for humans, and we know how that was received.
The idea itself isn't bad, but their execution absolutely will be.
The really big hurdle, and where they're likely to fail, is using the USDA to force the chicken industry into compliance.

That interview was journalistic malpractice. Uncontested word salad. The transcript is something to behold.

Well, neither do pigs, supposedly, but we're seeing a lot of that happening every day. No, every hour.
Clown carousel.
Did he also say to give them ivermectin?
From couple towns over and ... I hate that some of the idiocy is apparently "home grown", now even though I'm nowhere near there currently I have to feel an extra level of shame.
