Me too! I’m kind of amazed at how it’s artful without becoming abstract. It’s also educational without becoming preachy or complicating emotional impact.
And now I’ve realized that there must be two ways to rate, one that gives you a visible star and another that doesn’t? Was looking to sort my sci-fi’s against Letterboxd’s post and saw many in my sorting without stars.🤔😏
Ended up being my top (deserved) both since it’s a “watched” but only just realized some watched aren’t showing starts, even though I’ve watched/rated🤔

I'm an asshole, I never give 5* even when I really should. So technically my last one is Mulholland Drive which I first saw in June last year (I know), but it should actually be Children of Men, when I only gave ****1/2 for some reason.

I don’t think 5 stars should be given lightly. And it’s sometimes really hard to give a movie 5 starts on first watch. Like maybe real 5 star movies take their time to become 5 star movies.
Yes that's true. That's why I rarely give any movies 5 stars... The stars are more of an objective rating.
I prefer using the heart to tell that, even tho the movie is not PERFECT, I really loved it and would watch it again!

I will hear no disputing my five star rating for Black Widow. She is the love of my life and my only complaint is they didn’t magically resurrect her.
